The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department has decided to follow the National Council Of Education Research and Training (NCERT) guidelines of alternative academic calendar till schools reopen.

All the institutions affiliated to the CBSE Board have to adhere to the board instructions.

Recently NCERT released an eight-week alternative calendar for the primary stage. The calendar laid down the guidelines for the teachers on the use of technology and social media for imparting education in an interesting way.

The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department has already developed a ten-week long bridge course for the primary stage students. The course material is already distributed and followed since June 2020.

The state teachers and headmasters have now been asked to develop course material for classes 6 to 10 under the guidance of SCERT.

In a proceeding issued to all the district education officers and other officials, the school education department has asked to ensure that no private un-aided school should commence their regular academic activities until the schools reopen.

Also, all the academic activities performed by private schools should align with the alternative academic calendar.
