Ques 1. Kindly tell us about your experience in the education industry and what makes it the best industry to work in?

Ans. From a straightforward numbers viewpoint, education is one of the biggest Industries in India today. This shouldn't astonish - presently upwards of one out of each seven Indian goes to some education program, be it kindergarten, school or mid-vocation preparing, or college. Education is the key for social progression and this makes it the best experience being in Education Industry. Further, it gives a lot of meaning to our experience towards the society which is very fulfilling. By the day's end, everything begins with an educator you cherish.

Ques 3. What goals do you have in your mind for DBIT?

Ans. We desire to be a center where we are able to attract creative talents and nurture them to be professional experts. The bright minds of the nation and abroad should take DBIT as a one-stop destination where they feel assured of best guidance and mentor required to enable them to contribute path breaking innovation for the society and the world as a whole.

Ques 4. Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

Ans. Our suggestion to the youth is to develop their overall skills because this is required by any industry today. They should be spontaneous with logical and applied thinking. This would help them to cope with the unpredictable environment in professional as well as personal life crises or occurrences. Today’s youth has tremendous potential and they are the key to India’s future as a global leader. They need to be creative to find solutions to the problems existent now or in near future, and most of all, we urge the youth to be “themselves” as being original is “priceless”.

Ques 5. How do you look at the growth of students through placement opportunities available at DBIT? How do you wish to push the envelope further?

Ans. Placement happens to be the forte of DBIT. Every year the DBIT campus hosts more than 155+ companies for placements in various fields. Not only this, as a part of our CSR, we invite students from other colleges to participate in our placement drives, who do not get such opportunities in their own colleges.  Our placement conversion ratio has increased Y-O-Y basis. Currently, our conversion ratio stands at 73%.  Highest package rolled out is of Rs. 40 LPA in Robbins Tunnelling and Trenchless Technology and second highest of Rs. 24 LPA in Jaguar Land Rover. DBIT has a huge potential talent pool. We help in growing the potential of students with commitment and passion. We have extensive training programs designed for students to hone their skills. Along with this industry based knowledge along with Value addition modules to bridge the gap between industry knowledge and academic syllabus is imparted to students.

Ques 6. How do you tend to establish a relation with the students?

Ans. DBIT has a strong bond with the students, which is evident from huge alumni based relation it has with students even after graduating from the institution. There is a dedicated Student welfare cell which works with the sole motive of welfare and productive engagement of students. We believe in establishing the fact that DBIT should be “A home away from Home”.  On regular basis student meetings are held with the stakeholders to address any issue. There is a complete 360-degree feedback process to know the experience of students and the constructive ideas are encouraged and incorporated to make the welfare program more deep rooted and meaningful. Faculty members adopt a very strong mentor role in guiding the students in all most all walks of life during graduation/ post-graduation days.

Ques 7. Tell us about your path towards attaining the positions of the elite?

Ans. For further growth of our footprint, we are working hard on building an ecosystem that will be focused on co-creation across the entire chain of value be it education, training, project /case based learning, strong Industry linked syllabus, research and development. We have recently joined hands with National University, California, the USA as our effort to be recognized on the global map. With our commitment to grow and set new standards and benchmark we are all set to grow our capabilities in the region.

Ques 8. How do you build a positive school culture or climate?

Ans. We conduct various student based events and activities in the campus. The best part is that these events are made and organized by the students ranging from debates, theatre, public speaking, cultural festivals featuring top notch celebrities of the country, project& innovative idea based presentations to National Level Seminars, Symposiums, Workshops, National level Technical competition and exhibition Expo where prizes are worth Rs. 5 Lakhs. In all, this brings in a very creative positive culture which is intellectually driven and the various talents of students are encouraged, nurtured and exhibited on a grand scale. The campus encourages learning beyond classroom where our students go on various educational trips of significance in the country and then share the experience with other students to build a strong cross student interaction beyond branch of study. The college provides huge state of the art centrally air-conditioned library, computer labs, workshops till late hours where students can meet and engage in productive thinking and discuss ideas.

Ques 9. What are your takes on Education being digitalized?

Ans. Digitization is a modern-day reality and we should be well positioned to respond to the needs of the students who are visiting such platforms. As the students have a desire for good quality education irrespective of geographical boundaries we should leverage this unique opportunity to be seen and to interact with students with just a click of a button. Digitization has opened the possibility of what is to offer (in terms of educational institutions) and what is to adopt (in terms of students/ aspirants) on a platform where boundaries are meaningless. This gives digitized education a unique purpose.

Ques 10. What would be your ideal school environment, and how would you encourage that kind of culture?

Ans. An ideal education environment is where learning is made accessible to all. We would like to extend the value of learning to even those students who do have access to such education. Therefore, reach becomes important.
