The management, faculty, staff and students of Don Bosco Institute of Technology – MMS, Kurla are organizing an annual social business summit on Saturday, 10th March from 1pm – 4pm. Every year the institute organizes the summit with the aim to create a platform for networking between NGOs, Corporates and the government bodies and to sensitize students to various social issues and the modalities of addressing them. The Summit this year will be focusing on influencing the youth of our country to look beyond job security and engage themselves in activities that will satisfy their soul and make a difference to the country. To become responsible citizens. With the changing dynamics and developmental needs, the Youth are being looked upon as future social entrepreneurs. The areas which will be reflected upon during the summit are;

- Do start - ups in the Social Enterprise sector experience ease of conducting business?
- Social Enterprises: Barriers to growth
- Women Social Entrepreneurs: Issues and Successes
Eminent personalities of the likes of Dr. A. Velumani, Founder and CEO, Thyrocare Technologies Ltd., Avinash Sisode, Founder and Chairman E&G Group of Companies, Shubash Talekar, Spokesperson at Mumbai Dabbawala Association, Nimesh Shetty, Founder and Director of Third Eye Cafe will be sharing their experiences, challenges, learning and thoughts during the summit. The institute has also organized an inter college competition on ‘Social Entrepreneurship’ as a part of the summit which has students from over 20 colleges participating. From students to corporate to NGO/SBOs, there is some learning in store for everyone during this summit.
