It’s a recruitment gala at IBS (ICFAI Business School) as top rated companies flock the business school with 96% students going through placements. The placement season has just begun and the class of 2016 has already bagged 8 international placements.
The real breakthrough came with a student taking home a Rs. 47.41 lakh per annum package. Also, the highest domestic salary package grossed to be Rs. 25 lakh per annum while Rs. 6.8 Lakh was the average offering on the placement table.
S. Venkata Seshiah, Director, IBS said The B-School witnessed over 200 recruiters that participated in the placement process. Out of all, 65 per cent were repeat recruiters who have been visiting the campus over the past few years.
The director also said that the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector has contributed to almost 36 per cent of the total placements, while Information Technology /Information Technology Enabled Services (IT/ITES) contribution was 30 per cent, followed by consulting, media and research, manufacturing, pharma and healthcare, e-commerce, and infra and telecom.
Some of the top companies that visited the campus for placements include TCS, Deloitte India, Cognizant, ICICI Group, HDFC bank, Genpact, Capital First, Kotak Mahindra bank, Wipro, JP Morgan India Center, Maruti Suzuki, Amazon Development Centre India, and ITC Hotels.
