Hyderabad, January 08, 2019: Prof VV Ramanadham, associated with the setting up of IPE Hyderabad passed away at Birmingham, Alabama, USA on January 2, 2019.
Prof Ramanadham was an alumnus of Andhra University and London School of Economics. He was Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Osmania University, Founder-Director of IPE; Advisor on Public Enterprises at the United Nations, New York; International Technical Consultant on Public Enterprises and Privatization, and a visiting academician at many universities including Harvard, Pittsburgh, London and Oxford. Dr. S S Khera, Chairman, IPE in the course of his remarks on the very first Annual Report of IPE for 1964-65, mentioned “The institution was set up through the initiative of our Director, Professor V V Ramanadham. I would like to record …. our high appreciation of Professor Ramanadham’s leadership in the setting up and running of the Institute”
Prof. Ramanadham was globally known for his expertise on public enterprise management and was held high for his contribution to the theory of public enterprise related to pricing, financing, organizational structure, management development and training.
