The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) is India’s most prestigious and oldest institute offering courses in the subject of statistics. The Institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate, PG Diploma, Ph.D as well as research fellowships via its four campuses located in Kolkata, New Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
Candidates are shortlisted to the courses offered by the ISI Kolkata on the basis of marks obtained in the university admission test. There are two exams which are conducted by Indian Statistical Institute for admission to its programmes. They are as follows:
- ISI Admission Test – For admission to B. Stat (Hons), B. Math. (Hons), M. Stat, M. Math, MS M Tech, PG Diplomas and Research Fellowships
- PGDBA Entrance Test – For admission to PG Diploma in Business Analytics course offered jointly by ISI, IIT and IIM.
ISI Kolkata Admission Test Results 2017
Application Process for ISI Admission commences in the month of February. It is done via online mode. Candidates have to visit official website of ISI i.e. isical.ac.in/admission/ for registration. There is a stipulated fee which must be submitted for registration. For the academic session 2017-18, ISI Admission Test is scheduled on May 14, 2017.

ISI Admission Test Admit Card 2017
Candidates who have submitted ISI Application Form will be issued their ISI Admit Card starting from April 12, 2017. It is a mandatory document that a candidate has to produce on the exam day. It is advisable to check all the details mentioned on the Admit Card. In case of any discrepancy, one must report the same to the concerned authorities.
ISI Admission Test Selection Procedure
After the written test concludes, candidates are shortlisted for the interview round. The final admissions to Indian Statistical Institute is based on candidate’s performance in written test as well as the interview round. Past academic records are also taken into consideration.
Note: For certain programs, candidates who are INMO Awardees need not appear for the written exam. Such applicants will be directly intimated for interview round and shortlisted based on their performance in the same.
Steps to check ISI Result 2017
The results for ISI Admissions are issued online, in the month of May, on the official institute website. For the academic session 2017-18, ISI results will be released in the month of May/June.
Candidates can check their ISI admission test result by following the below given steps:
Step 1: Visit the official institute website
Step 2: Click on ‘ISI Admission Result’ link.
Step 3: Next, candidate should enter the ISI 2017 Application No. & Password OR ISI Roll No. & Date of Birth. Click on submit button.
Step 4: A screen will appear, informing about candidate’s result status (Qualified or not).
Step 5: Save and download the ISI Result/ Score Card.
Note: It is important to visit ISI website to check the result as it will not be sent via post/ Email.
PGDBA Entrance Test 2017
The Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) is jointly offered by ISI, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta. It is a 2-year full time program and aims to empower all the aspirants with business analytical skills.
A candidate has to visit all the 3 institutes on rotational basis as each of them focuses on separate area of business analytics. The exam is conducted in offline mode (pen-paper based). The duration of exam is 3 hours. It will have a total of 50 objective type questions carrying 3 marks each.
PGDBA Entrance Test Results 2017
For the academic session 2017-18, the exam concluded on February 19, 2017. On the basis of written exam scores, selected candidates were intimated for the interview round in the month of March.
