Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University invites applications from eligible candidates for admission in the Bachelors of Technology (B.Tech.) in Food Technology which is a U.G. degree course, for the academic year 2017-18.

  • Candidates are required to submit the online application form for counselling with all the relevant documents by not later than 08-07-2017.

ANGRAU B.Tech. (Food Technology) Admissions Course 2017

  • This is a 4 year course.
  • This course has 33 seats in total in the following two colleges under Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University:

    1) College of Food Science & Technology, Bapatla, Guntur Dist.

    2) College of Food Science & Technology, Pulivendula,YSR Kadapa Dist.

  • This course deals with various applications of food science like preservation, distribution, selection, processing, packaging and so on.

  • A pass in two year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Board of Intermediate Education with the following subjects namely:
    1. Physical Sciences
    2. Biological or Natural Sciences

  • Candidates aspiring to get admission to B.Tech (Food Technology) must have completed 17 years of age on 31st December, 2017 of the year of admission
  • The upper age limit is of 22 years for all the candidates.
  • The age limit is 25 years for SC and ST candidates and 27 years for Physically Challenged candidates.

  • Candidates need to apply online only.
  • They must read the Admission Brochure carefully before filling the form.
  • They need to visit the URL and click on Apply Now.
  • Candidates must fill the required information and upload the scanned copies of documents mentioned in instructions and fill in the AP EAMCET details.

Online Application Fee:

  • Online payment (through Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Multiple Gate Way) of INR 1200 (INR 600 in case of SC/ST/PH candidates) towards the registration fee (Non-refundable).

Original certificates to be produced at the time of counselling:

i) Pass Certificate-cum-Memorandum of Marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination (Intermediate)

ii) Hall Ticket & Rank Card of AP EAMCET 2017

iii) SSC or equivalent examination Certificate

iv)The Community Certificate in the case of candidates belonging to Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, signed by the competent authority

v) Bonafide or Study certificates (VI class to Intermediate or its equivalent)

vi) Residence Certificate, if necessary

vii) Transfer Certificate from the College or School where the candidate last studied

  • Candidates called for counselling will be required to attend the same at their own cost.
  • Only one of the Parents / Guardian of the candidate will be allowed for counselling along with the candidate.
  • Candidate who secures a seat, should submit the above certificates in Original at the time of joining the college.

  • Selection of candidates for all the seats shall be made on the basis of ranks obtained by the candidates in the AP EAMCET 2017.
  • Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit, presidential order, region and social status.
  • Only the state level rank will be considered.
  • In case there is a tie in the ranks obtained by two or more candidates in the AP EAMCET 2017, then the marks secured in the optional subjects of the qualifying examination shall be considered.
  • If there is a further tie, then the age of the candidate shall be considered.
