Delhi Technological University invites application for B. Tech Lateral Entry Admissions 2017. The registration process has started from July 14, 2017. Candidates who wish to apply can download the application form from the official website of the university i.e. http://dtu.ac.in/. Candidates can also apply in online mode. The last date of application form submission is July 28, 2017.
The selection is done on the basis of entrance test. Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their performance in the entrance test will be considered for admission to B.Tech Lateral Entry in DTU, Delhi.
The university offers B.Tech Lateral Entry program in five different disciplines. Applicants have to choose their preferable discipline while filling application form.
- Biotechnology (BT)
- Engineering Physics (EP)
- Environmental Engineering (ENE)
- Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (MAM)
- Polymer Science & Chemical Technology (PCT)
Duration: The duration of B.Tech Lateral Entry program is 3 years as the candidate will be admitted directly in second year of the regular B. Tech. Program. Lateral Entry Program is a continuation of technical expertise acquired after completing Diploma Programs and offers an opportunity to Diploma holders to obtain B.Tech Degree in Engineering.

DTU, Delhi B.Tech Lateral Entry Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who wish to apply for admission to B.Tech Lateral Entry program, must meet the complete eligibility criteria which is given below:
- Applicants must have passed a State Diploma Examination of three years duration in any branch or any other examination from a recognized university or institute.
- The minimum marks required to apply for the program is 60%.
- There is relaxation of 10% marks for reserved category candidates (SC/ ST/ PwD) and 5% for OBC category candidates.
The minimum age limit required to apply for B.Tech Lateral Entry program is 18 years and maximum age limit is 26 years.

The registration is done in both online as well as offline mode. Students are advised to check eligibility criteria before applying for the program. The last date of application form submission is July 28, 2017. Applications received after the due date will not be accepted.
Applicants are required to download the application form from the official website of the university. Candidates have to pay an application fee of INR 1200. It can be paid in the form of demand draft in favor of “Registrar, Delhi Technological University”, payable at Delhi.
Duly filled application form along with all the required documents sent it to the prescribed address. All the information which is mentioned on the application form must be correct and similar to the information of original documents. Mention a valid email address or phone number on the application form. The information regarding admission process will be send by email.

Once successful submission of online form, Admit Card will be generated. Students are required to download the admit card. It is mandatory document to appear for entrance test.

- Register by using your email id and password
- Login after the confirmation of email
- Fill application form with all the required information
- Upload the signature and photograph in jpeg format
- Image size should not be more than 50 kb
- Click on submit button
- Pay application fee by either of the available mode
- Take the print out of application form for future reference.
DTU Delhi B.Tech Lateral Entry Selection Process
The selection is done on the basis of entrance test. Applicants found suitable for admission to B.Tech lateral entry program will be called for entrance test. After the successfully commencement of entrance test, the university will prepare a merit list on the basis of candidates performance in entrance test.
Shortlisted candidates will be considered for admission process. Candidates have to bring all the required documents along with photocopy at the time of admission process. The list of required documents is given below:

Written Test Pattern and Syllabus
Delhi University of Technology will conduct the entrance test to shortlist candidates for admission to B.Tech Lateral Entry program. The pattern and syllabus of the paper is given below:
- The entrance test will be conducted in online/ offline mode.
- The question paper consists of multiple choice questions.
- Applicants have to attempt all the questions in the duration of two hours.
