Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU or IP or IPU, previously known as Indraprastha University,) is a public, professional university in the New Delhi, India. Founded in the year 1998 it is a teaching-cum-affiliating university which affiliates 84 colleges in Delhi-NCR and has 15 schools and centres. The medium of instruction is English to meet the international language standards.The university has been graded 'A' by NAAC.
It is one of the most-known universities in the country and is known for its high standards in teaching and research. It is a teaching and affiliating University with the aims to provide and promote studies, research and extension work in emerging areas of higher education with focus on professional education. The university offers programs in engineering, technology, management studies, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, education, law, etc.
IPU CET Entrance Exam
IP University conducts an entrance exam IPU CET i.e. Common Entrance Test for admission to Engineering, Medical, Law, Nursing and Pharmacy courses in the university and its constituent colleges. The exam is conducted in the month of April. The basic eligibility for IPU CET for UG Courses is a pass in 10+2 with minimum 55% marks and not more than 21 years of age at the time of admission.
Students who wish to take admission in PG Courses of the university, also need to appear in IPU CET exam and must have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field.
The university has different Common Entrance Tests (CET) for different courses. If any student wish to apply for more than one course, he/she has to fill separate application forms with different CET codes. The codes for different courses is mentioned below in the article.
IPU CET Admit Card
IPU CET Admit Card will be available online before seven days before IPU CET exam. Students can download their admit cards by IPU login-in ID and password. Candidates will not be allowed to sit for the exam without the admit card.
The candidates should have 2 copies of the admit card, with their passport sized photograph pasted on both the copies. One copy of the admit card will be signed by the invigilator and retained by the candidate, while the other copy has to be submitted to the invigilator.
The admit card must be kept carefully as the university will not entertain the request for duplicate admit card under any circumstances.
IPU-CET releases results for CET conducted for admission to the university through its official website. Since the university conducted separete CETs for all the programs, the results are announced almost throughout the year.

The counseling process is carried out after the declaration of IP results of the entrance exams (IPU-CET/ NATA/ NEET). The university further categories the process in two steps: First counseling and Second counseling. The list of students who are called for counseling is displayed as a list on the university’s website. If the seats are not filled in the first counseling, the second and third counseling is carried out, as per the requirement.
The students need to appear at the notified venue on the provided date and time, else the admission will be cancelled. According to the rank in the qualified examination, students are called for counseling for course allotment and document verification.

IP University Internal Exams
GGSIPU conducts semester exams for different IP University courses in the month of December and May/June for Odd and Even semesters, respectively. These exams also include oral examination and dissertation for various courses. The marks obtained in minor exams are added to scores of semester exams which are held in the month of May/June. The final IP results are calculated keeping in mind the marks scored in minor exams, class tests and semester exams. The result is declared in the month of July every year.

IP University annpounces results for semester exams through its official website, students can simply log on to the official portal of the university and find their semester exam result. You can follow these steps in order to check your result:
- Log on to the official websitye of the university.
- Hover your mouse pointer over “Examination”.
- Now, Click on “Examination Results” from the drop down menu.
- Select the result that want to check and the results will open in pdf format in new tab.
- Save the file for future use/reference.
