Manipal Institute of Technology ranking among top private colleges in India has announced admissions to B.Tech. programs through MU-OET 2016. Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET) is an online exam held by the university, the admissions and scholarship are based on the ranking in the OET of the candidate. The last date of application of forms is March 11, 2016 and the test will be held from April 14, 2016 to May 18, 2016. The students can choose their test date and test centre online.
MU-OET 2016 Eligibility Criteria:
The candidates should have passed Class 12/A Level/IB/American Grade 12 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.

Manipal University-OET Selection Process:
Admissions to Manipal University will be based upon the candidate’s rank in Online Entrance Test. As it has been explained below:
Indian: Admissions to some of the courses, Medicine & Engineering in particular, are done through a process which has an online test followed by counselling, which eventually leads to the admission of a student. Admissions are either through online entrance test or are based on qualifying examination marks.
International: Foreign nationals, Non Resident Indians or Indian nationals supported by NRI relatives can apply under Foreign/NRI category. Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
MU-OET Exam Pattern 2016:
The test is two and a half hours long in duration and consists of 200 multiple choice questions (MCQ).
