“We have an industry Advisory Council composed of senior leaders from the industry”
A meeting of the council is held twice a year for every program of the University. What are some of the biggest challenges you see, both for higher education in general and for your university specifically, in these tough times?
“Pandemic has created major hiatus in the sectors across the world”
The Covid pandemic has brought the entire world to a standstill for some time, and education was also affected by the same. The resilience and adaptability shown by our faculty and students is exemplary. Challenge is to adapt to the new normal. The blending of online and offline teaching-learning processes is going to be a challenge for all stakeholders of higher education. Adapting to the new normal and accepting the reality of the digital world is going to be a challenge for all.
Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?
“It is essential for students to explore various verticals”
We encourage our students to discover new perspectives, see things differently and develop an entrepreneurial mindset. The faculty members interact constructively with each other and provide excellent learning opportunities for students. The Students of Amity develop team building, leadership, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, all of which are suitable for a variety of fields of employment.
What are some plans that you are currently (or will be) designing for your University students?
“Digitalization and online learning is the new normal”
We are following a blended learning approach and wish to follow the same going forward with the use of technology. We have started an on-campus Amity innovation incubator, and we want to nurture a good number of student startups in years to come. We will ensure that proper sanitization is done, and adequate health and hygiene protocols are followed once we open again in physical mode.
