As per the latest notification released by the VIT University, last date of application for Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2017 is extended up to March 15, 2017. VIT University will conduct VITEEE 2017 from April 5, 2017 to April 16, 2017. VITEEE will be held in 3 sessions per day.
VIT Application Form can be filled in both online and offline modes. Online registration for VITEEE 2017 can be completed on the official site of VIT University, while the offline application form can be availed from the selected post offices across several states. Candidates are required to pay an application fee of INR 970 during the form-filling process.
VITEEE 2017 will be a computer Based Test of 2.5 hours’ duration. VITEEE Exam Pattern consists of 120 questions, 40 questions from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics each. Students seeking admission in B.Tech programme can avail admission on total 5000 seats offered at both Vellore & Chennai campus. VITEEE Result is expected to be announced on or before April 24, 2017.
VITEEE 2017 Eligibility Criteria
The basic eligibility to appear for VITEEE 2017 is a pass in 10+2 or equivalent. As per VIT norms, students of NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) who are appearing for their final examination of 10+2 standard are also eligible to apply.
Candidates must have scored an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology in class 12th while for SC/ST/J&K migrants/North Eastern candidates, the minimum aggregate in the Physics, Chemistry, Math/Biology is relaxed to 40%.
NRI candidates are eligible to apply for VITEEE 2017. PIO and OCI holder are also eligible to apply (Foreign Candidates studied/studying in abroad can apply directly through foreign category only)
