Enactus, formerly known as Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE), is an international non-profit which brings together a diverse network of university students, academic professionals and industry leaders around the common goal of creating a better and more sustainable world.
Enactus SRCC since its inception in 2007, has undertaken several community outreach projects as part of this shared mission, out of which 12 have been completed and 2 are still active.

With the help of Social Entrepreneurship Introduction Programme (SEIP), Enactus SCCC aims to impart the key takeaways and learnings that the members have accumulated along their journey as social entrepreneurs.
The programme is designed specifically for students entering college in the coming years and want to gain entrepreneurship qualities.
The first week of the programme will consist of interactive sessions where knowledge dissemination regarding the various verticals of social entrepreneurship will take place through a series of 4 sessions of 90 minutes each.
Session 1: Introduction to social entrepreneurship and study of social ventures Students will gain insights about the value proposition offered by social entrepreneurship organisations and the importance of beneficiaries.
Session 2: Concept of innovation and theory of change Students will learn about the process of the business model and its development.
Session 3: Feasibility studies & Acquiring funds. This session will also cover the mechanics, tensions, and realities of the enterprise.
Session 4: Marketing and Outreach Students will be taught how to design a pitch for their enterprise, essentials of a pitch, different marketing frameworks etc. This session will be followed by a webinar with industry experts.
Simultaneously, post each session the students would be given a set of problems to solve or activities which test the knowledge gained. This would give the participants an opportunity to explore the application of their knowledge in the practical world. Students will learn the difference between various types of organisations, selection of suitable streams of funding and effective PR and marketing through a set of identification and analysis problems.
This will be a challenge cum competition where students would be asked to formulate a business model around the given problem. They will receive personalised mentoring for the same and the best solutions will be recognised with exciting prizes!
