Teaching is one of the few noble professions which help us learn throughout our life
I am a teacher by choice. I have been connected with the education sector since the beginning of my working career, for more than 30 years. Teaching is one of the few noble professions which help us learn throughout our life while earning for bread and butter. I am very passionate about this profession which makes my life meaningful. I gain knowledge to share with others, not to conserve. This profession gives me opportunities to share my knowledge and thoughts with thousands of students, faculty and corporate executives. What could have been more rewarding than this?
Leaders are uncompetitive without the crucial support of their team
I think leaders are incomplete without a strong team supporting them. Therefore, I always try to work with my team of faculty and staff very closely and care for their wellbeing and worries. While being empathetic towards my colleagues, I value professionalism in teamwork. I would describe my leadership style as that of the Team Leadership.
With the focus on credibility and brand building as an educational institution we aim to strategize and market ourselves
As the Dean I strategize for marketing and administration of Birla School of Management with a focus on credibility and brand building as an educational institution, known for quality of its academic inputs, process, and products. The marketing plans should include brand promotion activities, both online and offline, to inform our target students and parents about our programmes, and achievements so that they are able to take decisions regarding admission to different programmes of the universities.
We aim to deliver our courses with an intention to impart quality learning and building values in the students
The MBA, BBA(Honours), BBA(Honours)-Digital Marketing, BBA(Honours)-Business Analysis, and Ph.D. programmes, currently offered in the Birla School of Management, are very well structured for imparting quality education, comparable with those offered by top ranking B-Schools, both in India and many other countries. The students are made industry ready with required skills via professional orientation with industry inputs

The students are made industry ready with required knowledge from industry inputs and academic experts who share their experiences of best management practices so as to equip them for working in the business organizations effectively. A wholesome academic orientation with personality development through various co-curricular and extracurricular activities makes the students confident to take up any leadership roles.

We belong to a global university promoted by the legendary Birla family which respects people from all races and economic backgrounds. We heartily welcome students from all communities, races, and economic backgrounds to study in our School. We have formed an equal, hospitable, and inclusive environment for students and faculty to inculcate values of tolerance and non-discrimination. Ragging is strictly prohibited on our campus, and we try our level best to ensure that the socio-economic background of students never becomes a barrier for them to achieve quality education.
Our priority is to raise the flag of global recognition in the upcoming years
The top priority of the School should be to make it more globalised through increased collaborations, improving the quality of education and facilities provided, and striving hard to make it a known, premier institution for higher learning. While working to fulfil this priority, other issues and demands of the school get resolved simultaneously.
Our values and ethical code of conduct forms the greatest strength of our institution

Students should spend their time on focussing how to create jobs and future opportunities
The main challenge for higher education in general is to transform students from being job-seekers to job-creators, emphasizing more in “being” rather than “knowing” and “doing”. In the context of Birla Global University, attracting quality students from different parts of the country and the world, to stand true to its “Global” vision, is one of the biggest challenges.
