VIT Business School organizes Weekend Leader Awards

A special lecture by Achievers in the fields of Science and Technology is jointly organised by VIT Business School and VIT WeekEnd leader magazine periodically. A special award is presented to eminent scientist and business head for their yeomen services.

Delivering Week End Leader Special Lecture organised at VIT University, Vellore on Sunday, Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, Director, ISRO, Bangalore, said that the Prime Minister’s ‘Make India Scheme’ is well supported by ISRO on building Hi-Tech Missiles and Rockets indigenously.

He said that Chandrayan II will be put in orbit next year and preliminary works on that mission are already on the card.

He said the GSLV 9 satellite, fully developed with Indian Technology for Telecommunication would be launched by next month. The development in Science and Technology field in India was mainly to utilise for livelihood.

Releasing the Lead Star Magazine and Presiding over the function, Mr. G.V. Selvam, Vice President, VIT University, said that India is proud of development in various fields including Space Science.


Dr. Mylswamy presented Person of the Year Award to Mr. Biplab Ketan Paul, Founder and Head of Naireeta Services Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad.

Mr. P.C. Vinoj Kumar, Editor, The Weekend Leader & The Lead Star delivered an introductory speech on the occasion. Dr. D. Ashok, Dean, VIT Business School welcomed the gathering.

Dr. Prabu Christopher B, VIT Business School introduced the awardee. Dr. Anand A Samuel, Vice Chancellor, VIT University honoured the awardee.

Accepting the award, Mr. Biplab Ketan Paul, Founder and Head of Naireeta Services Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad, expressed his gratitude.

Dr. N. Jayasankaran, Advisor, VIT Business School and Dr. Anand A. Samuel, Vice Chancellor, VIT University felicitated.

Prof. Suresh Mariaselvam, VIT Business School introduced the Chief Guest Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai.

Dr. Anand A. Samuel, Dr. D. Ashok, Dean, VIT Business School, Mr. Vinoj Kumar, Editor, The Weekend Leader were among those participated in the event.
