Hyderabad, February 14, 2019: The lack of development in poverty-stricken regions of many parts of Hyderabad continues to leave many families in dire need of basic necessities such as food. GITAMites focus on the most disadvantaged zones and have identified the region of Patancheru and Lingampally as most in need.
D.Hari Chandana, IAS, Zonal Commissioner, West Zone, GHMC appealed GITAMites to convert the Valentine's Day for community service, ‘Feed the Needy’ food drop program is timed to ensure GITAM Deemed-to-be University, Hyderabad National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers delivered food packs to families at the most crucial of times when families are most vulnerable on 14th February 2019.
Serilingampally Municipal ward members B.Kavita, Parveen Begum, Srikala, Chandrakala, Rambabu and Ashwini also took part in this program.
GITAM NSS Volunteers distributed classmate notebooks to the school children at ZPHS Lakdaram of Sangarddy in the Presence of MEO and HM PP Rathod, GITAM, Hyderabad Estate Officer M.Moham, NSS Coordinator Dr. P.V.Nagendra Kumar.
