Hyderabad, February 25, 2019: ‘Look for your choices, pick the best one, and then go with it’ Major General (Retd.) Surendra Pratap Roy exhorted to the GITAM B.Tech. first-year students. He delivered a motivational lecture at GITAM Deemed-to-be University, Hyderabad on February 23, 2019. He explained a length about Jammu and Kashmir row, from the beginning to the present day situation, Pulwama incident, surgical strikes, proxy war, and more.

While dealing with the role of the youth he told that “Sometimes the options are few, but sometimes they are numerous. This is the time that you create your own. Make your creative mind work. Do not shoot anything down when an idea comes to your head. Assess each option by looking at the advantages and disadvantages it offers you.” He also said that “Once you take a decision, be ready to face its consequences, whether they are good or bad. It may take you to a place of promise or to a land of problems.”

“You need to learn how to value your own talents and achievements because no one will ever care about your life nearly as much as you. When you are faced with a decision in life and are considering your next steps, listen to your intuition and act in accordance with your deepest desires” S.P. Roy told. You should be the best whatever the field you chose, he concluded. He answered many quarries raised by the budding engineers.
