A two-day workshop on ‘Physics of Fluids, Methods and Applications’ was organised by the Department of Mathematics, GITAM Deemed-to-be University, Hyderabad. The main objective of the workshop was to introduce the participants the basic physical aspects of fluid dynamics, methods to solve the governing equations and some applications to passive systems and active systems said Prof. G.P. Raja Sekhar, IIT Kharagpur. He delivered a lecture on the above topic elaborately by using a whiteboard and answered many quarries raised by the delegates.
Prof. R. Radha, School of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Hyderabad graced as the guest of honor and explained a length about Eulerian and Lagrangian approaches, Flow governing equations etc.
Prof. K. Maruthi Prasad, HoD, Mathematics and Convenor of this workshop welcomed the guests and told the objectives of this two-day session.
Prof. Ch. Sanjay, Principal, School of Technology and Prof. G.A. Rama Rao, Principal, School of Science also took part in the inaugural session. About 45 delegates across the country registered to participate in the prestigious workshop.
