Sh. Sachin Gupta is the Chancellor at Sanskriti University. He holds a PG Diploma in Management and his journey of two decades in the higher education sector has been unprecedented in terms of influencing the quality and system of higher education in the private sector. With the power of his vision, clarity of his mission and analytical ability, the university is poised for achieving greater heights of excellence. Youngest first-generation Chancellor of any university is what distinguishes him for his contemporary outlook, actions, and deeds. He is very passionate about technology and innovation as also in providing excellent and skill-based higher education to university students. Ensuring holistic development of students to make them skilled is very close to his heart.
Mr. Gupta has more than 20 years of experience in the field of higher education which keeps him in good stead. Numerous awards and recognition conferred on him stand testimony to his ability to visualize and implement the innovative methods for improving the quality of education as also to make it industry aligned. He is widely traveled and is an avid reader of books in general and autobiographies of great people, in particular.
Under his able stewardship, Sanskriti University has risen to greater heights. Number of international students, impeccable placement data of students, intellectual capital as also the infrastructure itself justify the ever-increasing popularity of the University. A few of the initiatives like setting up of “Centre of Excellence” in collaboration with MSME, setting up labs with latest equipment exhibit his futurist outlook of teaching and learning.
Sh. Gupta’s experience in the education industry
My experience in education industry has been always encouraging and refreshing. I am fascinated to be the guiding force for the younger generation and love to be in Education industry. I am a born ‘edupreneur’. This is the only industry where one can work day in and day out towards one’s own dream with utmost passion and instead of feeling fatigued, one gets reenergized, recharged and refreshed. Here, I work for the youth and for the future and can see the transformations which give me the ultimate professional pleasure and satisfaction.
Sh. Gupta on how Sanskriti University ensures the non-academic support services are sufficiently well-resourced
Sanskriti University believes in Excellence, in thinking as well as in action. Sanskriti has explored the best education system, the best practices, invested in best infrastructure, garnered support from best academic and industrial collaborators from India and abroad. The progress is monitored by a group of eminent visionary educators, the most knowledgeable and inspiring faculty team and ascertain the best academic environment for the students to excel.
Further expansion in terms of placement drive, international projects and seminars of Sanskriti University
Sanskriti University aims and acts to be a global leader in education. It has created a roadmap for international tie up for academics, consultancy projects appraisal and technology transfer from the inception and revisiting the same time to time. Sanskriti has started with faculty and student exchange program with the leading universities of the world and also inviting the experts from abroad as visiting faculty. This experience and exposure have already started yielding results. Many students have been placed in multinational companies, quite a few students have been working on international projects, two faculty members are working on International technology transfer and consulting multinational companies.
Sh. Gupta on how he ensures that a growing proportion of the teaching staff of Sanskriti University have some form of teacher training
The faculty members are recruited mostly from the best academic (IITs/ NITs /IIMs) institutes and having rich industrial experience. They are working in a free and collaborative environment where they are encouraged for research, publication, and consultancy. The FDPs, MDPs, seminars, and workshops are organized from time to time to refresh their knowledge and create their curiosity. They also participate in outside seminars. workshops and conferences. All faculty members are part of Innovation, Incubation, IPR and Entrepreneurship cell.
Sh. Gupta on whether Sanskriti University makes as much effort to stay in touch with their international alumni as they do with their home students
Yes. Although the international alumni are only 7 percent of the total alumni, they are treated, cared and being connected well because they are considered as our brand ambassador and instrumental in propagating name and fame of the university. They donate fund for their alma mater as well.
Steps taken to maintain the positive environment in Sanskriti University
Unity among Diversity is the mantra for progress. Converging the diverse qualities can only lead to success. Sanskriti University can boast of students from 19 different states of India and 11 different countries of the world. The diversity in languages, dresses, cultures and food habits bring a lot of ideas and fun, yet through unique dress codes, games, sports, studies, cuisine, etc., they learn to be coherent, communicative and culture responsive effortlessly.
Sh. Gupta on the measures taken by Sanskriti University to ensure the process of internships
Sanskriti University imparts “practice-oriented “and “project-based” learning. All the students must go for the internship program at least twice in their program and preferably every year during summer vacation. The Training & Placement cell works hard to find the best-fit place for an internship for the students and the faculty monitors the progress of learning during the internship program. Internship in is one of the fortes for Sanskriti University and is in the priority bucket.
