Dr. Alok Satsangi is currently designated as the Principal of NSHM Business School and NSHM School of Engineering and Technology. His education qualifications include D.Litt. Ph.D., M.Phil., MBA and PG Diploma in Disaster Management, having work experience of more than 17 years, he has worked in all facets of administration and governing of a College from Admissions to Placement, Teaching, Training, and Mentoring.
Dr. Satsangi has been awarded the Atal Samman Award, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Award, Media Excellence Award, and many more. With this, he has published more than four research papers in both National and International Journal. Factors keeping Dr. Alok connected to the Education Sector
Education is a human right, and no one can take it for granted. It ignites the key development and growth of a nation irrespective of their national wealth. We need to focus on higher education to bring growth performance, prosperity, and competitiveness applicable for national and global economies. To determine how well a country’s economy is doing, one needs to understand the education and training of a country’s workers.
Today, students need to inculcate the skills of critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, also to focus on digital literacy to be equipped with “twenty-first-century skills.” Educational institutions, apart from delivering education and ongoing skills training, also have to create an ambiance for research work for the innovations with valuable commercial applications. I feel proud and blessed to be associated as an integral part of this sector.

As a leader, I thoroughly believe that leading from the front works the best out of all the styles. Also, it is necessary to keep transparency and communication effective and healthy.

Standard of curriculum at NSHM
As the world is evolving regularly, it is necessary to review and update the curriculum as per the industry requirement. At NSHM Knowledge Campus, our focus is on minimizing the skills gap by providing meaningful educational and training opportunities to the students as well as the faculty. We make sure to bridge the gap by delivering value-added programs along with the regular degree to the students.
The faculty members are well prepared with the skills and abilities as per the new requirements. To understand and point out the needs of industry, we have various tie-ups with different recruiters from the industry. We identify the skills that are required and missing among the students’ due to the backdated curriculum.
Major roles as the Principal of the college
At this position, I am focused on the overall and quality delivery of education to my students. It is my responsibility to facilitate, mentor, manage, and supervise each member associated to the organisation. I have to think and work accordingly - right faculties are recruited with their focus on retaining good knowledge. It is also necessary to provide necessary support, recognition, and reward them for their work.
To improve the teaching skills of the faculty members, I encourage them to participate in professional development programs regularly. I have to play a vital role in hiring, mentoring, and reviewing young faculty members from time to time and also help senior colleagues equally for their growth and development as well. I also have the responsibility for long term planning for each of the departments.

Establishing a healthy relationship with students
At NSHM, professors are known for extracting the best out of each student by promoting positive attitudes within the students. Although, building a trusting relationship with students is a challenging and time-consuming process. Fortunately, our Professors are experienced enough to accomplish the same. They develop good relations with the students for academic success, as one must earn students’ trust from the initial days. Students possessing moral values, mutual respect, changes the entire atmosphere in and around the campus. This makes the relation-building activity simple enough for everyone.
Suggestions to the current and aspiring youths
It is necessary for a student to choose their career wisely as their entire life will depend on it. They should set a goal, focus on it and devote themselves till the time the same is realised. Apart from this, they should utilise their time efficiently and effectively.
