Sketching is a skill – not a gift – and with time and practice, anyone can become proficient enough at sketching to effectively work through problems and communicate their intent, said Architect Suman Paul, Partner, DKP Architects, Bengaluru.
He delivered a guest lecture on ‘Becoming an Architect’ at School of Architecture, GITAM Deemed-to-be University, Hyderabad on 27th February 2019. Becoming an Architect, it was about learning in the college and working as a professional after completing the education, he told. The expert believed that education doesn’t end at college, actual education starts after becoming an architect. He stressed upon very important skill for an architect - sketching. He said that every architect should master his own sketching technology and that will be a useful tool for him throughout architect career. He made the students do simple examples in the sketch; design and related exercises with learn process of the architecture.
Earlier, Prof. Sunil Kumar, Director, School of Architecture introduced the guest to the students and felicitated him by the students.
