Record-Breaking Placements at UBS Mumbai

Universal Business School saw yet another placement season for the post-graduation batch of 2019. UBS witnessed 273 companies participating in campus recruitment for final and internship placements, with a record highest package of INR 20.5 LPA.
The average package of the top 10% students stood at INR 10.95 LPA and the average of the top 25% of students came out to be INR 8.72 LPA. The average salary for the batch also rose to 7 LPA, and the median salary saw an impressive increase of 20% from last year and stood at 6.57LPA. The average salary for experienced students with over two years of work experience was INR 10.29 LPA.
For PGDM 2017-19 and GMP 2019 batch, the final placement season concluded with 98.17% placements. The key takeaways were:

Key Placement Trends: Analysis of Last 3 Years
UBS has exceeded the previous year’s achievement. It has drawn the highest number of organizations in comparison to the last three years. Interview opportunities that students received also rose by 46%. Moreover, UBS attracted 45 first time recruiters who hired students for various roles in multiple sectors.Students with previous work experience also saw an increase in salary. Their salaries rose from between 274% to 377% - illustrating the transformations students undergo at UBS.
UBS is one of 6 business school in India to attain an INR1 Crore+ salary for its student. Thus, putting UBS in the same league as IIM-Ahmedabad, IIM-Calcutta, IIM-Bangalore, ISB-Hyderabad and IIFT-Delhi.
41% offers in the Banking & Financial Sector
The Banking and Financial Services domain was at the top of the placement process, grabbing 41% of the students. HDFC Bank alone hired 46 candidates from one campus. Recruiters offered different profiles, such as: Management trainee, Financial analyst, Assistant Finance Manager, and more.The notable recruiters include IDFC First Bank, HDFC Bank, S&P Global, ICICI Bank, DSP Blackrock, Bajaj Allianz, CBRE, CMIE, OSTC, to name a few. 33% offers in Sales & Marketing and Marketing Research
Sales & Marketing and Marketing Research was the second most preferred domain during the placements. Industry giants that participated in the recruitment process are: Marico,Gulf Oil, Berger Paints, Asian paints,Cult Fit, ITC to name a few
15% offers in Operations, Logistics/Supply Chain & Analytics and 11% offers in Management, Consulting & HR
Prominent recruiters in this sector included DHL, All Cargo, Flipkart, CapGemini, Deloitte, BDO, Syntel, Dun & Bradstreet, Monginis, hired for profiles like management consulting, talent acquisition, HR Generalist and other General Management roles.
