Ahmedabad: MICA, Ahmedabad, India’s premier institute for Strategic Marketing and Communication inaugurated the orientation program for its incoming batch of PGDM-C, PGDM, CCC and FPM students. The ceremony was for the academic year 2019 and was organised at the Mani Ayer Auditorium, at MICA Campus. Mr. Vikas Purohit, CEO, TATA CLiQ was invited as the chief guest.
Bringing in a warm, energetic and engaging tone to the event, Mr. Purohit spoke words of encouragement to the next generation of strategic marketing and communication aspirants.
Recounting his experiences in the industry, he gave nuggets of wisdom, all in lucid and light hearted, humor-woven anecdotes. In a serious message though, he said: “Grades do matter”, and exemplified the choices students can and would need to make, both while on campus as well as in their careers. The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and felicitation of the chief guest by the President and Director, Dr Shailendra Mehta, and the Dean of MICA, Dr Preeti Shroff.
(Special container) Note: The students will be attending the orientation programme for the next 15 days, as courses would formally commence in July 2019.
