Regency College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, a 25-year old college located in Khairtabad held an Annual Affair on February 28, 2019. 3rd Year BHMCT students presented a Lavish and Huge Display of Culinary and Presentation Skills learned, which was exhibited at Radiance Restaurant in the College.
A team of 6 Culinary Experts and Faculty Chefs chalked out a plan along with the entire final year students, involved them in making the buffet with French Menu Hors d'oeuvres. The entire food display was taken from French Cuisine infused with Haute and Fusion Dishes cooked in Contemporary Style. The Lavish Spread had about 100 miniatures. Food Display included Salads, Galantines, and Forcemeat Pates and Desserts. Few of the mouth-watering cold food was Tuna Salad, Mozzarella Cheese Sticks, Salade Lyonnaise, Lamb Galantine, Chicken Fricassee, Burgandy Lamb Stew, Roasted Leg of Lamb with Bean. Stew was some of the main course served dishes. The delight to the eyes was the wonderful presentation of Assorted Bread - La flute, La Baguette; these slices of bread were intricately dressed up like a plant with branches.
The Buffet Presentation was 3D multi-dimensional. It was a wonderful assortment of eccentric thematic pieces; every minute detail was taken care of to maintain the symmetry of plate sizes, the display had risers and stairs. Superb Elevation with exotic Plate Presentation, Centre Pieces made with Edible spices and Herbs this depicted Chef Escoffier who was the Pioneers of French Cuisine, Ice was carved like Eiffel Tower a Classy Clouding over the Buffet Setup.
The Invitees for the event were the Asst General Manager Mr. Ajit Fernandez and Chef de Cuisine Jayanto Ghosh from HYATT PLACE hotel came to see this spectacular display. They appreciated the way the students presented the Gala. Each and every dish in the display was inched so well, it shows their valuable time of learning spent in the college. Mr. Ramesh Kumar Reddy, the Principal, envisaged that such kind of events boosts the students’ thinking abilities and enhances their learning abilities to be creative which makes them stand elevated during the time of employability. He said that the college focuses and leaves no stone unturned in giving the best opportunity of learning to students. This college which is very soon going to celebrate 25 years has been consistently giving aspirants to the Hotel Industry who are getting placed in well-reputed brands of hotels like Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton, Accor - both in India and abroad.
