Ramesh Kumar Reddy

PRamesh Kumar Reddy is the Principal of RCHMCT Hyderabad. He is an MBA and also has done BHMCT from Osmania University. He is a passionate leader who inspires Team Regency. Mr. Reddy believes and works relentlessly with a smile with his team to build an excellent attitude and also paves ways for students to be ‘YOUNG DYNAMIC HOTELIERS’ to be looked at by International Brands of Hotels as BRAND REGENTS.

Mr. Reddy’s experience in the education industry

My experience in the field of Hospitality Education was very enriching, started my career as a Chef Faculty way back in 2005 and then became Principal for Regency College of Hotel Management. The hospitality industry has emerged as one of the key driving sectors in India and even in the world. Employment opportunities are very promising, so every year churning out a good number of Hotel Management graduates with excellent employment opportunities, is what makes this industry the best.

Significant challenges faced as the Principal of Regency College of Hotel Management & Catering Technology

Empowering the young lot at a significant pace to match the industry needs and requirement is what I feel is a great challenge. A decade of experience has made me overcome many challenges keeping up the consistency of the standards, not compromising on working towards the overall development of students.

Curriculum of RCHMCT Hyderabad

The present hotel management curriculum has been made very competitive to match the industry requirement. As it has become a coveted career option with the wide array of opportunities that have opened up in the fast-growing tourism and hospitality sector.

Goals in mind for RCHMCT

Establishing as a global BRAND “REGENCY” . RCHMCT is making all its efforts in creating opportunities to sharpen students’ capability and hone their competency to bring a new era of hope, happiness, and compassion in our students. The goal to accomplish is to get students placed globally especially in cruise lines and getting successful accreditation so that more and more students opt to join hotel management as the best career opportunity.

To harness abundant energy, enthusiasm, and vitality of our students so that they can explore the world with vigor. RCHMCT exhibits full faith in the talent of our students and this is proved as Regents stand as all-time winners at the National Level Competitions since 2008. Engaging them to do research on rural cuisines, take up assignments on enhancing their learning skills, conducting interactive workshops, seminars, organizing theme building activities. Ensuring that my faculty team is well versed with the industry updates sending them for on-the-job training programs with international hotel chains all over India.

Regency boasts of its well-connected and rich tie-up with almost all reputed hotel chains, food chains, airlines and other organizations to meet their ever-growing demands of well-trained hotel managed professionals. For this, we have to ensure good industrial training to the students as well as training them in communication skills, image management, and personality development. The institute holds an excellent track record of inviting over many renowned 5 star properties and other companies of recruiting our students. The last few years have been 100% percent placements of our students.

Mr. Reddy on how to build a positive school culture or climate

Interacting with my team and students on a regular basis, addressing the issues and building positive vibes as a disciplinarian is what makes the difference to students and it transforms them to be a good individual with a positive attitude. I always believe in maintaining calmness, close mentoring and monitoring and that is what builds a positive culture. Best is always keep them smiling.

I wish that the students get recognized by International Group of Hotels. It is a proven fact that as a reputed college since two decades most of my students are General Managers, Corporate Executives, Executive Chefs, F&B Directors with chain hotel like Accor, Marriott, IHG, Taj, Oberoi’s, Carnival Cruises, Jumeirah Beach Dubai, Rotana Hotels and many more. I wish more and more students grab the Top notch positions across the globe.

Mr. Reddy on his relation with the students

I have always had a very cordial relationship with my students. I keep up the pace of interacting with them every now & then and give them an empathetic listening is what makes my rapport with my students very strong.

Mr. Reddy’s philosophy of leadership

The greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things. He is the one that gets the people to do the greatest things. I always believe in giving an opportunity to an individual to perform and nurture them to exhibit their best. I am like an open book when it comes to work ethics and culture and also very clear in setting up goals and standards to my team for the growth of the Institution.
