DU to conduct academic session of 2020-2021 in online mode; students disheartened for lack of college life

Delhi University has planned to conduct online classes for the academic year 2020-2021. Students are disheartened by not socializing and living the college life.

Due to the rise in the pandemic situation, all educational institutions are dependent on Online teaching. Delhi University - [DU], New Delhi has started the new session that is being conducted online and students have expressed their sorrow over social media.

School student Raunak Ranjan has taken admission in BA Course at Motilal Nehru College, he is demoralized by the fact that he will not get to socialize and flaunt his new clothes.

In one video he mentioned that as soon as the classes are over he can switch to his home clothes and they will have nowhere to go.

The Covid-19 pandemic has closed all the colleges and resulted in discouraging everyone. The online classes are to be commenced on Wednesday.

Moreover, to aggravation, Thakur made a statement in TOI that the first day of college is supposed to be special for everyone and now the pandemic has ruined everything. He dreamed of participating in the student’s union to appear for a 3rd-year election, but with no campus to rule over.

Thakur has taken admission in the South campus and visited Satyaniketan for just 10 minutes but he says it would have been enjoyable if he were with his friends.

Tanmay Khandelwal from Shri Ram College of Commerce has also grieved with the same. He mentioned the first day of college plans seem far away when he hasn’t seen any of his friends for so long. He has no idea when orientation will be held.

Students joining from different states are disappointed. Haseeb Khalid of Kashmir who is a new student from Venkateswara College says unlike school college life would entail parties and meeting different people from Indian states.

Nevertheless, the orientation class conducted has given some hope to the fellow students. Some students are already bonding over the online classes and trying to adjust to the new college life.
