GMAT 2018 Result

Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) 2018 Result will be published within three weeks of date of examination. Candidates can view their results through online mode on the official website of GMAT. The information regarding the availability of scorecard will be imparted on the registered e-mail id. The email will contain a URL which must be clicked to download the score card.

Scorecard will include Analytical Writing Assessment score, past five years GMAT exam scores and personal data such a name of the candidate, Date of Birth which was provided at the time of registration. GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council) conducts the aptitude test every year commonly called as GMAT for selecting eligible and qualified applicants in the regular two-year management program (MBA) in some of the top management schools and Business Schools of the country.​

How to Check GMAT Result 2018?

Applicants of GMAT exam can visit the official website- to view their results online. GMAT is conducted on flexible dates, those who wish to appear for it can choose dates according to their preference. GMAT score is valid up to 5 years. The steps to download GMAT score are as follows:

  1. Go to the official website of GMAT-
  2. Click on “Log In” option present on the homepage of the website.
  3. Enter unique id and password generated at the time of registration
  4. Click on ‘login’ tab.
  5. Check your Result by clicking on ‘GMAT scorecard’ option.
  6. Download it and keep it safe for future reference.

Details Present in GMAT Result 2018

GMAT 2018 scorecard is the official document which can be obtained 20 days after the examination. candidates can download scorecard and keep it safe till admission process is completed. An official GMAT scorecard consists of the following details:

  • Verbal scaled score (on a scale from 0 to 60)
  • Quantitative scaled score (on a scale from 0 to 60)
  • Total scaled score (on a scale from 200 to 800)
  • Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) Score (on a scale from 0 to 6)
  • Candidate’s Details
  • Name of Candidate
  • Date of Birth
  • Category (GEN/OBC/SC/ST)

The test scores are valid for five years for most of the universities. But it is always prudent to have scores not more than 2 years old. This scorecard comprises the total scores and the sectional scores obtained by candidates in examination. This printed score card will be considered as valid and used in the counselling procedure.

GMAT 2018 Cut Off

The Cut Off may be released section-wise. GMAT 2018 Cut Off is evaluated on the basis of various factors, some of them are given below:

  • Number of Candidate appearing for GMAT exam
  • No of candidates passed the exam
  • Difficulty level of question paper
  • Vacancies available

Minimum GMAT Score/Cut Off Required to Qualify

There are no minimum qualifying marks in GMAT exam, instead, the candidates have to secure maximum marks to get in the best university and marks or percentile varies from university to university. The average score is around 600+ according to previous year trends as given below:

  • Harvard University needs an average score of 707.
  • University of Chicago needs 80% score ranging between 640 and 760.

Therefore, average score is 680, with 80% being between 610 - 750. There is no specific number of marks to qualify for GMAT. The more the candidate scores, more are the chances for candidates to get best MBA university.

Percentile will be calculated in the following manner:

GMAT 2018 Counselling

The result comprises of the marks obtained by the candidates in the exam. If applicants are satisfied with declared GMAT 2018 Result then they can join the counselling procedure and enrol in management courses. In case they are not satisfied with their result and would like to sit in the examination again then they can click ‘decline’ tab.

The selection process of different international universities through GMAT can vary, therefore, it is important for candidates to go through the official website of colleges they wish to apply for.

Selection process through GMAT is done on the basis of GMAT Score

GMAT score plays an important role in the selection as first screening is done on the basis of GMAT scores. To compete with the high scores candidate will have to aim for a GMAT score within 50 points of a school's average. Procedure to appear in GMAT counselling is as follows:

  • Confirm your ranking based on merit list.
  • Check the counselling date from official website- of GMAT Counselling.
  • Decide your choice of course before proceeding to GMAT counselling.

Documents Required while GMAT 2018 Counselling

Candidates must carry the following documents and one photocopy of each document along with them for GMAT Counseling:

  • Original counseling letter
  • Original Admit card
  • Bank draft has as per guidelines mentioned on GMAT prospectus.
  • Original and at least 2 photocopies of certificates of class 10 and class 12.
  • Rank Card
  • Scorecard
  • Original degree/provisional certificate if candidate is appearing
  • Community certificate(SC/ST/OBC/Other) signed by the authorized authority
  • Medical documents mentioned on GMAT application form
  • 4-6 Passport size photographs color and black and white

Note: Seat allotment will be done on the basis of merit list/score card.
