IRMA 2017 Application Process

    Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) 2017 will be conducted for admissions into rural management post graduate programmes. Candidates interested in pursuing a career in this field must register for IRMA 2017.

    The admission for courses offered by IRMA is on the basis of CAT or XAT score. So, candidates must possess a valid score for these exams in the relevant year. However, this does not mean that IRMA will have no tests of its own. Candidates will have to appear for a test called “Issues of Social Concern”.

    IRMA 2017 How to apply

    Candidates can apply for IRMA 2017 through both online and offline methods. Depending on their convenience, candidates can choose either of the application methods. The detailed step by step process for each application mode is explained in this section below.

    Online Application Process:

    Candidates have the option to apply for IRMA 2017 through online mode. For this, first the candidate will be required to visit the official IRMA website. Registration must be done by providing a valid email id. After registration, login credentials will be generated. Candidates must sign in using these login details to complete the application process.

    As can be seen from the screenshot above, the candidate must provide his email ID as username and password to log into the system. If a candidate hasn’t registered yet, he should click on the link “New Applicants Click Here to Register”, shown beside the password box. Once logged in, the candidate can start the process of form filling.

    The IRMA Application Form will consist of usual fields regarding the candidate’s qualifications. Some personal information along with educational background will have to be provided. Candidates must also mention their registration number for either CAT 2016 or XAT 2017.

    Scanned images of stamp size, recent, colour photograph and candidate’s signature will also have to be uploaded as part of the application form. The resolution for photograph must be 150 X 180 pixel and for the signature, it must be 150 X 70 pixel.

    Offline Application Process:

    For the offline IRMA 2017 application process, candidates must buy the physical application form. This can be done by requesting the application form from the IRMA admission office. The candidate must send the form fee through a DD to the office, the full address for which can be found below:

    Upon receiving the fee amount, the admission office will send the application form and prospectus by post to the candidate’s mentioned address. Thus, it is advised to provide your complete and proper address for communication in order to receive the application form. Sample question paper for the IRMA test will also be sent along with the form.

    The application fee for IRMA 2017 will vary depending on the category of the candidate and the programme he wishes to obtain admission in. The details are given below:

    1. DAP stands for “Differently Abled Person”.
    2. Candidates who belong to Below Poverty Line (BPL) need not pay the application fee at all. The fee has been waived for such candidates. To avail this benefit, they will have to send a print out of the filled in application form along with self-attested, latest proof of "Below Poverty Line (BPL)" status issued by appropriate authority by post to IRMA Admission Office.

    Methods of Fee Payment:

    The application fee can be paid in different ways according to the convenience of the candidate. The fee payment methods are different for online and offline application processes. The details are discussed below.

    Online Application

    There are three ways available for fee payment in case the candidate has opted for online application process. These are:

    • Payment through Online payment gateway at IRMA website
    • Payment at any IMS Learning centre. Apply online using the IMS receipt number.
    • Payment through State Bank of India Challan available on the official IRMA website. Pay at any SBI branch and then, use the unique ID number issued upon fee payment to apply online.

    Offline Application

    • In case of offline application, candidates will be required to send the application form fee to the IRMA Admission Office by post. The fee payment will have to be done through a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of ‘IRMA’ and payable at “Anand”.

    After filling in the application form and paying the form fee, candidates can also track the status of their application. For this, visit the official link - . The following screen will be displayed.

    In the space provided, enter your application form number and birth date. Click on “Submit” button. The status of your application form will be shown.

    There is also a provision to know the application status through SMS. This is available only for Indian nationals. The SMS should start with ADM. Then give a space and then mention your Form No. Send the SMS to 9687933388 to know your application status.

    1. Are any correspondence courses offered by IRMA?

    Ans. IRMA does not offer any correspondence programmes.

    Ans. No, there is no age limit for admission in these programmes.
