JCECE 2019 Exam Pattern

JCECE 2019 Exam Pattern is formulated by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB). Factors like nature of questions, marking scheme, mode of exam and complete syllabus are included in JCECE Exam Pattern. Candidates can go through JCECE Exam Pattern in order to prepare well for the exam.

JCECE 2019 will be an offline exam, the question paper of which shall be available in both English and Hindi language. It will be primarily divided into 3 or 4 sections depending on the subject group chosen by students. These sections are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. A total of 50 questions will be asked in each section of the exam.

JCECE 2019 will feature objective type questions and the duration of the test will be 3 hours. As per JCECE Marking Scheme, every question will carry +1 mark and negative marking will also be applicable. JCECE 2019 Syllabus is based on 10+2 curriculum of the NCERT. Candidates can further check in-detail exam pattern along with marking scheme, syllabus and recommended books.

JCECE 2019 Exam Pattern in Detail

It is advisable for applicants to go through the exam pattern of JCECE because it helps in comprehending the nature of the exam. JCECE 2019 will be conducted in the offline mode only. Applicants must mark their responses on the OMR sheet provided at the exam center. Individuals will be given a rough sheet for doing calculations.

JCECE 2019 question paper will comprise 3 or 4 sections namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Applicants have to solve the sections as per the subject combination chosen by them. The details of question paper for different subject groups (PCM, PCB, PCMB) are given below

PCM Group

  • The test paper will have 3 sections namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • Every section will have 50 objective questions.
  • Each question will carry equal weightage.
  • Applicants who wish to pursue Engineering, Agriculture and Forestry programs can opt for this combination.

JCECE 2019 Marking Scheme

Participants must know the marking scheme in order to decide how to attempt the questions in Engineering, Agriculture and Medical entrance test. Any variations in the marking scheme shall be notified further. The marking scheme is as given below:

  • Every question in JCECE carries equal marks.
  • +1 mark will be awarded to candidates for every correct answer.
  • For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted from the total score.
  • Marking of more than 1 response will be considered as a wrong answer.
  • No mark will be deducted for leaving any question blank.

JCECE 2019 Syllabus is based on Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology of Class 11 and 12 NCERT Curriculum. JCECE 2019 Exam Day Instructions

It is the responsibility of every JCECE 2019 applicant to ensure that they follow some rules and regulations on the day of exam.

  • Every student must arrive at the designated exam center at the reporting time mentioned in the hall ticket.
  • They can carry only their JCECE 2019 Admit Card, a valid government ID card and stationery as permitted by the exam committee.
  • Participants can approach the invigilator in the room if they require any technical assistance or any information regarding the conduct of entrance exam.
  • Any item like calculator, logarithm table, slide rulers, Bluetooth devices, mobile phones, chits of paper etc. are prohibited in JCECE exam hall and will not be allowed inside the exam center.
  • They will have to fill their details in the question paper, answer sheet and sign in the attendance register.
  • Students should ensure that they mark the answers properly in the OMR sheet otherwise their response will not be considered.
