NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST

CMAT 2018 Notification to release soon

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will soon release notification for CMAT 2018. The computer based 3-hour exam will be conducted in single session in the last week of January 2018.

  • Registration for CMAT 2018 will begin in second week of October 2017 in online mode only.
  • To register successfully, visit the official website of www.aicte-india.org or www.aicte-cmat.in.
  • The payment of application fee can be made via online (credit card/debit card or net banking) as well as offline mode (cash payment at SBI branch).
  • To apply for CMAT, candidates must be graduate in any relevant discipline and a citizen of India.
  • The exam is conducted on national level to check applicant’s knowledge of these sections- Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.
  • For each correct answer, aspirant will be awarded +4 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

CMAT is conducted to admit eligible graduate candidates to the institutes affiliated to AICTE to all the management programs.


Dates for CMAT 2018

Online registration for CMAT 2018 will be carried out for 2 months starting from second week of October 2017. The tentative schedule and related events are tabulated below:

Who is eligible to apply for CMAT 2018?

Candidate will be considered eligible to apply for CMAT if he/she fulfills the conditions set by the conducting body completely. Given below are the eligibility requirements to apply for CMAT 2018:

  • Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
  • Those who have completed their graduation in relevant discipline from a recognized university will be considered eligible.
  • Those completing their graduation in the same year before the conduction of admission process can also apply.

How to Apply for CMAT 2018?

To apply for CMAT 2018, aspirants will have to complete the registration process first, subsequently, form filling procedure will be followed. Refer to the steps given below to fill CMAT 2018 Application Form.

  • Go to the official website of AICTE or AICTE- CMAT.
  • Click on ‘New
  • Enter required information such as Personal Details, Contact Details and Academic Details.
  • Submit these details and obtain user id and password.
  • Use these credentials to log in and fill the remaining details.
  • Upload the scanned copy of the required documents such as passport size photograph, signatures, academic documents, caste certificates (if applicable), etc.
  • Pay the application fee via online or offline mode as per the directions given below in this article.
  • Lastly, secure a copy of the completely filled and submitted application form for future reference.

CMAT 2018 Application Fee

The application fee, as mentioned previously, can be remitted viz. online and offline mode. Candidates will have to make payment of INR 1400 (General category) or INR 700 (for reserved category candidates).

  • For online payment, use credit card/ debit card or you can also go for net banking options.
  • Offline payment of the application fee can be made in cash at any branch of SBI.

Note: Additional bank charges will be applicable.


Exam Pattern for CMAT 2018

CMAT 2018 will be conducted in online mode i.e. Computer based test. The 180 minutes exam will comprise 100 questions. Each correct answer will be awarded with +4 marks while 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

  • CMAT 2018 will comprise questions from 4 sections namely, Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.
  • Each section will consist of 25 questions, making the total number of questions counting up to 100.
  • Maximum marks to be scored in this exam is 400.
