NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
IIM Calcutta has been released the official notification of CAT 2018 on July 29. CAT 2018 will be conducted on November 25, 2018 (Sunday) through online mode. As per CAT Eligibility, students must have a graduate degree with at least 50% marks to be eligible for registration. The registration is done from August 8 to September 19, 2018.

To achieve a centralised digital identity, Aadhar Card will now be one of the essential documents for all students while registering for CAT. The Aadhaar Identification which is a 12- digit number allotted by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UDAI) is for CAT.
It is compulsory that the MBA aspirants applying and seeking entry into top renounced IIMs and other prestigious colleges in India through CAT must have an Aadhar Card. The main purpose of Aadhar Card is to control forged enrolment and impersonation to lessen mismanagement. It is basically meant for security and identity purposes. The card will be issued in order to identify the candidates from all the states of India, except for the candidates of Assam, Meghalaya, and J&K. The following points are one of few reasons to make Aadhar a mandatory document.
Making Aadhaar card compulsory for all the competitive exams is a very important step for maintaining and improving the quality of the exams. There are few states like Assam, J&K, and Meghalaya where Aadhar Cards are not available yet. Making the Aadhar card a compulsory document for many exams like CAT is still in progress and the result is expected to be positive. The candidates in the states where Aadhaar card is yet not generated can use their photo identity given to them by the State Government to appear for the competitive exams.
The final decision about making the Aadhaar card a necessary document is yet to be announced or notified by the Authority in charge.
