    The Online Application process to get admission in BITS Pilani will start from the last week of November. The admissions at BITS Pilani will be purely done on the merit basis. The institute only shortlists the candidates who have successfully applied for MBA program before the due date. Students can check the official website of the college

    • CAT or GMAT scores are valid to take admission.
    • Students have to appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview after qualifying the minimum eligibility criteria.
    • The highest package received by a Dubai Campus student is AED 17,000 per month that is approximately INR 3,20,000.

    Admissions to MBA programme at BITS Pilani(on campus) is done on the basis of CAT/GMAT scores followed by GD & PI. Candidates’ academic performance and work experience are also considered during admission.

    About CAT- CAT is a national level management exam held for MBA/PGDM admissions in IIMs and the top B- Schools. CAT 2019 is scheduled on November 24, 2019.

    BITS Pilani CAT Selection Process: Eligibility Criteria

    Candidates should be aware of the eligibility criteria set up by the Institute for admission to MBA programme. Only the candidates who are eligible should fill the application form. For the MBA programme, the eligibility criteria are as follows –

    • B.E/B.Tech Engineering or Master’s Degree from a recognized university.
    • Students who have completed an Integrated First Degree from BITS can also apply
    • Minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying degree

    How to Apply?

    • Students can fill the Online Application forms available at the official website.
    • After that candidates have to take the print out of the application form.
    • Send the application form along with fees and other necessary documents to the address mentioned below.
    • The application process will start from the last week of November.
    • The fee of the application form is INR 2950.

    NOTE: If a candidate found any mistake in the application form submitted by him, then he can submit another application before the due date. In the new application form, he has to mention on the top that his form with an application no. (write the application no.) should be canceled. He has to pay again for a new application form.

    Duration of the Course

    • The duration of MBA is 2 Years.
    • Specializations offered at BITS Pilani are Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, Operations, Engineering & Technology Management and IT Enabled Services Management.

    BITS Pilani CAT Selection Process

    BITS Pilani CAT Selection process has a total of three stages: 

    Common Admission Test is the first stage, and the second stage is shortlisting of candidates based on their CAT score, Work experience, and academic record. In the third stage, shortlisted candidates are called for Group Discussion and Interview to be held in a few cities including Pilani during March/April 2019. Other centers for Test/Interviews may also be added depending upon the number of shortlisted candidates.

    Step 1: Shortlisting

    • In the first round, candidates will be shortlisted for Group Discussion and Personal Interview based on their CAT or GMAT Score.
    • Candidates who will fulfill the minimum cut off criteria will be considered for the next step.

    Expected Cutt off:

    BITS Pilani uses CAT or GMAT scores for shortlisting the candidates and the college releases its minimum cut off after the announcement of CAT or GMAT results. The results of these exams have not been released as of now. The cut off mentioned below is according to the previous year’s trend followed by the college.

    The college considers the following factors while deciding the minimum cut off:

    • Total number of applications received
    • The difficulty level of the CAT or GMAT entrance exam for the current year
    • Analyze the Previous years cut off
    • Total number of seats available to offer

    Step 2. Group Discussion and Personal Interview

    • Now the candidates shortlisted in step-1 will have to appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview round.
    • GD and PI will be held at Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pilani
    • Students can check the official website to know about the venue and timings for GD and PI
    • Candidates will be given 15-20 minutes of time for GD and PI.
    • Candidates have to write a Statement of Purpose.

    NOTE: In Group Discussion candidates will be evaluated based on their confidence, quality of content, delivery of the content.

    In Personal Interview, they will be evaluated based on their interpersonal skills, soft skills, his/her interest in pursuing the MBA program.

    Step 3: Final Selection

    • In the final selection, all the marks or points awarded to the candidates in the different rounds will be taken into consideration and a final merit list will be created.
    • Points will be awarded to CAT score, Academic Performance, Group Discussion & Personal Interview Performance, Work Experience (not compulsory).
    • Student can check the final merit list from the official website of the college

    NOTE: The minimum cut off score of CAT or GMAT varies every year and totally depends on the total number of applications received every year. To maintain equality while evaluating the candidates, different parameters are taken into consideration while calculating the final score.

    Important Points

    • The final list of centers for GDPI will be released on the official website only after all the applications are received.
    • Applicants with a high CAT score may not get shortlisted as the student may be found lacking on other areas and vice versa.
    • There is no minimum cutoff score for CAT. Preference is given to candidates with better Profile.
    • In case, any candidate has submitted more than one score, the best of the submitted scores will be considered for evaluation.
    • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for GDPI rounds of the selection process.
    • Admission to MBA Programme is purely based on Merit.

    BITS Pilani CAT Selection Process: Fee and Required Documents

    Candidates selected for MBA programme at BITS Pilani will be required to pay all fees in advance.

    Candidates will also need to produce the following attested certificates in original and 2 sets of photocopies during admission:

    • CAT Scorecard
    • Offer Letter
    • General Undertaking
    • Anti-Ragging Affidavit from Student and Parent
    • Class 10th and 12th mark sheets
    • Degree mark-sheets of all semesters
    • Degree Certificate
    • Gap Certificate in a prescribed format (if applicable)

    • Transfer Certificate from last attended college
