NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
As expected based on previous year trends, CAT 2017 registration has been extended from September 20, 2017 to September 25, 2017 (5:00 pm). The online form for CAT 2017 can be found on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. The extension in dates comes as a big belief for students awaiting their final results.
CAT (Common Admission Test) is an All India Level management entrance exam, conducted by one of the IIMs on a rotational basis. Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow is the conducting body of CAT 2017.
The registration window for CAT exam has been active for a month for candidates to apply. Application Form are available online on the official website from August 9, 2017. The exam schedule of CAT is as follows:

CAT Registration is a completely online process. No offline mode for registration would be available. The last date of form filling has been extended to September 25, 2017. The application form filling process is broadly divided into 4 steps:
Step 1: Registration – Visit the official website, click on the link of ‘CAT registration 2017’ and fill in the registration form with necessary details such as Candidates Name, Contact Number, Email ID and Date of Birth.
Step 2: CAT Application Form Filling – Login with the credentials provided after successful registration and fill in the details present in the form such as personal details, contact information, academic details, work experience, program preference and exam center preference.
Step 3: Document uploading – Upload scanned copies of necessary documents such as:

Candidates also need to upload Category and Disability certificates, if applicable.
Step 4: Payment of Application Fee – Application fee can be paid online only. No other mode of payment will be accepted. Payment can be paid through Credit card, Debit card or Net Banking. Category-wise application fee is as follows:

Candidates are advised to carefully fill all the details as only a limited number of details can be modified during the one-time form correction facility provided by the authorities. They will have the option to review all the particulars before submitting and can also edit the information in case of any discrepancy.
Once CAT 2017 application form successfully submitted, a confirmation pop-up is shown on the screen with the Application ID and password. Along with it, a confirmation mail and a message is also sent on the registered mobile number.
Post submission, application form is checked by the authorities and a status is depicted with the application form. If the form is verified, ‘Successfully submitted’ is displayed, otherwise ‘Application rejected’ would be displayed on the screen.
CAT conducting authorities will also provide a one-time facility in which candidates can rectify their mistakes made during form filling process. Only few particulars in the form can be changed such as Percentage of Marks scored, Work Experience, Programmes Selected etc. Candidates will not be able to modify Personal details, Academics section etc.
