In order to secure a place in one of these institutes, aspirants must first score well in the management exam. It is the most difficult management entrance test as participants are required to clear not only the cut off percentile but also the sectional cut off. A minimum of 90 percentile is needed to be eligible for admission, the top 3 IIMs requiring a percentile of 98 and above.

Candidates must then also ace the further rounds of Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD & PI) conducted by the respective IIMs. The PG management courses offered in these institutes will be obtained only by the students who have done exceptionally well in all the rounds.
