IIM Bodh Gaya Admission Criteria through CAT 2019

    Indian Institute of Management, Bodh Gaya (IIM-B), offers admission to the Post Graduate Program (PGP) is based on CAT Score. Apart from the score of CAT exam, the admission also depends upon the past academics and prior work experience. Candidates aspiring to take admission in IIM, Bodh Gaya has to mandatorily take CAT exam. 

    CAT 2019 #Latest Facts

    1. CAT 2019 is scheduled to be held on November 24, 2019. 
    2. Admit Card of CAT exam has been available at the official website i.e. Download Now!
    3. CAT Result will be declared on January 7, 2020 in online mode. 
    4. With the declaration of CAT Result, all the individual IIMs, and other participating colleges will release CAT Cut off for the admission in management program.  

    IIM Bodh Gaya Admission Highlights

    1. Total seat intake in the post graduate program in management is 120.  
    2. CAT Cut off for the General category student is greater than or equal to 95 percentile to be eligible for admission, but this does not ensure allotment of seat.
    3. The selection of candidates for admission will be based on their performance in Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT), after the declaration of CAT Result.
    4. A merit list is declared for the selected students after the successful completion of all the rounds.
    5. The final selection criteria will be based on norms such as 10th Result, 12th Result, Graduation Marks, Gender Diversity, Work Experience, PI and WAT.

    IIM Bodh Gaya offers a 2-year PGP-PGDM program which is a full-time residential course. The course structure consists of the core curriculum, a summer internship and elective courses (optional).

    IIM Bodh Gaya Admission Criteria

    IIM Bodh Gaya Admission Criteria 2019 will be conducted in 3 phases:

    1. CAT 2019 Percentile
    2. Written ability test and Personal Interview.
    3. Final Merit List

    After the declaration of the result of WAT and PI, a merit list will be declared taking into consideration the overall profile of the candidate.

    IIM Bodh Gaya Admission Criteria: Shortlisting for PI and WAT

    Candidates need to score a minimum required percentage in CAT to get further eligible for Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) which is given below. They must also clear the sectional cut off. 

    For shortlisting candidates for WAT/PI rounds, IIM Bodhgaya will consider only the CAT performance of a candidate. This goes on to show that performing well in CAT 2019 would go a long way in securing a WATGD/PI call from this premier B-school.

    A candidate’s final score for selection at IIM Bodh Gaya is calculated on the basis of weights given to the following factors:

    1. On the basis of Class 10 and 12 marks-

    The points which will be allotted to the candidate based on the aggregate score of Class 10 and Class 12 percentages of marks of the candidates are as per the table is given below.

    2. On the basis of Work Experience-

    Work experience is an experience that a person gains while working in a specific field or occupation. A maximum of Six points will be awarded depending on the length of service as on July 31, 2019, to the candidates.

    NOTE- Only managerial work experience after graduation will be considered. Training/Project work/work done as an integral part of the curricular requirement will not be considered.

    * ADFB: Academic Diversity Factor at Bachelor Degree level means candidates who hold bachelor's degrees as under the ADFB list will get 3 points and those candidates who do not have one will get 0 points. The courses under the ADFB list are:

    2. B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons.)
    3. BS
    4. B.Com/ B.Com (Hons.)
    5. BCA
    6. BBA
    7. B. Pharm

    In the selection process, the total weightage for parameters that are controllable ( CAT, WAT, and PI ) in the final selection stage has been kept at 70%. This means that the applicants, who do not have a good academic profile or work experience can still aspire to join IIM Bodh Gaya by performing well in CAT 2019, WAT and PI rounds.

    Criteria for Final Selection for PGP

    The final selection list will be based rigidly on merit in each category. The minimum qualification on the above mentioned criteria would not automatically qualify the candidate for admission into IIM Bodh Gaya.

    Reservation Policy

    IIM Bodh Gaya has the same policies which are applied by Central Educational Institutions (CEIs) for reservation for admission in IIM Bodh Gaya. Any dispute concerning Admissions for the PGP Batch 2020-22 would be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts within the territorial jurisdiction of the city of Bodh Gaya only.
