JIMS Delhi PGDM Admission through CAT 2019

    Jagannath International Management School (JIMS) offers various PG courses in Management Studies and International Business. Admission in the management program at JIMS is based on the marks scored by candidate in CAT Exam. Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their entrance exam score participate in group discussion and personal interview.

    • CAT 2019 is scheduled for November 24, 2019.
    • Application process for CAT 2019 has been started. Last date to apply for the exam is September 18, 2019. 
    • Other than CAT, XAT/ MAT/ CMAT scores are also accepted for admission in management exam at JIMS.

    To apply at JIMS, candidates have to fill an online application form at its official website i.e. The application fee is INR 1000 that can be paid via demand draft or cash. Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their entrance score are called for group discussion and personal interview round. The final selection is done through the overall performance of the candidate.

    How to Apply at JIMS through CAT 2019?

    Online Mode

    1. Visit the official website of JIMS
    2. On the website homepage, click on the ‘Admissions tab’.
    3. Then register as a new user and fill the application form.
    4. Students are advised to fill the application form correctly because once it is submitted cannot be edited later.
    5. For downloading the application form, students have to pay the application fees of amount INR 1000.
    6. The fees can be paid by Credit Card/ Debit Card or Net Banking on the website.
    7. They have to upload the following list of attested documents while filling the application form:
    • Class X and XII mark sheet and passing certificate
    • Bachelor’s degree and mark sheet
    • CAT admit card and scorecard
    • Migration certificate
    • Character certificate
    • Caste certificate (if applicable)
    • Two passport size photographs
    1. Finally, submit the form.

    Offline Mode

    • Students can get JIMS application form and brochure from the college itself.
    • Students need to submit the application form along with the documents mentioned above at the college or by post with a Demand Draft of INR 1000.
    • Offline application fees can be paid in offline mode either in cash or through demand draft in favour of “Jagan Institute of Management Studies” payable at Delhi.

    JIMS Delhi Previous Year Cutoff 

    For qualifying the exam, students have to score more than or equal to CAT Cut off. Those who have scored less than the cut off marks will not be eligible to get admission in the college. Different courses have different cut off marks. It will be decided on the basis of various following factors:

    • Previous year cut off marks
    • Reservation Norms
    • Total number of candidates appearing in the exam
    • Difficulty level of the examination
    • Marks scored by the candidate

    JIMS Admission Criteria 2020

    Student’s admission in the college is done on the basis of marks scored by them in CAT examination followed by the below selection rounds:

    Group Discussion

    • It is a healthy debate among 8-12 candidates.
    • Total specified time period will be given to candidates to complete the round is 15 minutes.

    Some of the topics that can be in the group discussion round are as follows:

    1. E-commerce is the future
    2. How will the growing migrant crisis affect the domestic and foreign policies of the US in the long run?
    3. Public values are deteriorating and should be blamed on media

    Personal Interview

    A Total number of panels of Interviews is 2. Time duration to complete the interview is 30-35 minutes. Both the panels asked different questions which are as following:

    Panel 1

    • Which areas need to be improved in the Indian Economy?
    • Why was Asoka defeated in the battle of Kalinga?
    • What were the significant economic policies of Shershah Suri?

    Panel 2

    • Why JIMS?
    • What is NPA?
    • What is the difference between spirituality and religion?
    • Which are the south Indian states?
    • Tell some other rivers which flow through South India?

    JIMS Fee Structure 

    The total fee for PGDM and PGDM-IB program is Rs 7.20 Lac + 7500/- security(refundable). The fee is payable in four installments. Depending upon the performance in GD/PI, candidates are provided scholarships. The division of scholarship is given below. 

    • 50% Scholarship to students with 700 in MAT/ 80% CAT and 60% in 10th, 12th & Graduation*
    • 25% Scholarship to students with 650 in MAT/ 75% CAT and 60% 10th, 12th & Graduation*
    • 10% Scholarship to students with 600 in MAT/ 70% CAT and 60% 10th, 12th & Graduation*
