LM Thapar School of Management MBA Selection Process

The college selects the candidates based on their academic potency, score obtained in the entrance tests, performance in Group Discussion and ability to withstand the pressure of a personal interview.

Those who have completed Graduation or Post Graduation Degree program in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University are considered eligible to get admission.  However, those who have innate managerial/ leadership skills with at least one year of experience are exempted from having 50% marks in Graduation/ Post Graduation.

To get admission to MBA program candidates must qualify either CAT/MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ NMAT/ GMAT or Thapar Entrance Test.

Selection Process

The selection process conducted to admit students in the MBA program involves the following steps:

The selection process of Thapar School of Management is very simple and short. Candidates must have a valid score of any National Management Entrance Test viz. CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT and likes. Also, those who managed to score minimum qualifying marks in Thapar Entrance Test are called for GD and PI. The final selection is done based on their collective score of the entrance test, personal interview, and previous academic performance.

Students who have at least one year of work experience with exceptional managerial and leadership skills are exempted from having minimum 50%marks in UG/ PG.

Final Selection

Final selection of the candidate is done based on eligibility, qualification, and performance in the entrance test. However, there are two major deciding factors and they are WAT and PI score. The exact selection parameters are listed below:
