    T. A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal was founded in 1980 and it is counted among the top B-schools in India.     Eligibility Criteria and Selection Process

    The eligibility criteria and the selection process for TAPMI are presented in the table below:

    NRI Candidate Eligibility criteria:

    • Graduated from a University/Institute abroad within the last 3 years

    • NRI Candidates: CAT / XAT / GMAT / NMAT / SNAP / ATMA / CMAT / MAT Scores

    • PIO / Foreign Nationals: GMAT (compulsory) and IELTS (if required)

    • Valid CAT / XAT / GMAT scores (whichever is the highest)

    • Work Experience (Type of Company, Total time spent at the Company in months etc.)
    • Extra curricular achievements 
    • Statement of purpose

    TAPMI shortlists its applicants by considering their overall profile, including overall academic records, work experience, entrance exam score, extracurricular achievements, and Statement of Purpose.

    Shortlisted candidates are invited to appear for:

    • Written Aptitude Test (WAT) – applicants are scored on their vocabulary, grammatical skills, and articulation.
    • Group Discussion (GD) – applicants are required to discuss a current affairs topic in a small group and are adjudged on the grounds of communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
    • Collaborative Problem Solving Ability - Candidates will take part in a group activity where they will solve a problem jointly. The individuals will be evaluated on their teamwork skills, initiative, solution oriented thinking, implementation feasability etc. 
    • Personal Interview (PI) – in a behavioral personal interview, applicants are evaluated on the basis of Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Leadership, and Communication.

    TAPMI makes its final selection for admission by attributing specific weightage on entrance exam overall percentile as well as verbal ability percentile, academic records, work experience, and WAT/GD/PI scores. Weightage assigned to each component is presented below:
