IFIM (Institute of Finance and International Management) is considered as one of the top B-School of the country. Selection Process of IFIM Bangalore

There are a few steps in the selection process of IFIM Bangalore. The steps of the selection process are as follows:

  • Interested candidates must appear for any entrance exam such as CAT/MAT/GMAT/XAT/CMAT/ATMA/PGCET.
  • IFIM will consider the result of these entrance examinations for admission into the PGDM programs.
  • Interested and eligible candidates need to fill and submit the application form. The application forms for PGDM can be obtained from the official website of the institute. Candidates can fill the form online. Those who are interested in getting the application form through post need to make a demand draft of 1100 INR, drawn in favour of the “Center for Developmental Education”. Candidates can also pay for the application form through cash at the main office of the institute.

IFIM Bangalore will review all the application forms and then shortlist the deserving candidates. The shortlisted candidates will then get a call for personal interview. Shortlisting will be completely on the basis of scores of the entrance examination through which they are applying. For example, if you are applying through MAT 2018, you will be shortlisted on the basis of your MAT Result. The marks of graduation will not be added for shortlisting of candidates, but a good academic record will be a bonus in the final selection.

Personal Interview

After shortlisting of candidates, they will be invited for personal interview round. IFIM Bangalore will send a mail to shortlisted candidates, inviting them to attend the personal interview at designated centers. There are two levels of personal interview, which are as follows:

  • Personal Interview Level 1: The domain knowledge will be tested in this round.
  • Personal Interview Level 2: Soft skill and personality test will take place in this round.

Final admission will be offered to candidates who have performed well in the personal interview rounds. There is no GD (group discussion) in the final selection process of IFIM Bangalore. The final selection stage of IFIM Bangalore is the preparation of the final merit list. The factors that are considered during preparing the final merit list are as follows:

  • Performance in the personal interview rounds

Once the final merit list is published by IFIM Bangalore, selected candidates will be offered admission to the PGDM programs that they have applied for.
