Tips to make you prepare better for your PI and GD:
These two levels are conducted to test your confidence level and also how good your communication skills are. Also, these two levels will also indicate how good your conveying and convincing skills are. To crack these two levels, make sure to take few seconds to understand the topic first and then answer it. Make sure to not take a lot of time before answering as it could leave a negative impression on the person assessing you.
For MAT Personal Interview (PI)
A personal Interview is conducted to test your communication skills, your ability to answer the questions asked and also the way in which you answer it. You should make sure to take few seconds to process the question that has been asked and then answer it. Also, while answering it should look like that your answer is spontaneous.

For MAT Group Discussion (GD)
GD is conducted to test the cognitive ability of yours, i.e. how well did you understood a given topic, your awareness about the current happenings, also to test your body language, the way you respect or contradict the opponent's points and overall how interactive you are. In short, GD assesses the behavioral traits in a person, also his or her leadership skills, social skills, team skills, problem solving skills and presence of mind. While entrance exams test the candidates for their academics and knowledge of subjects, the GD will test one for their soft skills and their ability to cope with various situations.
You should be polite while answering and also let the other person finish before you start speaking. If you disagree to the point that was said by the opponent then you could use a phrase like: I am sorry but I think I disagree with you a bit here, I have a slightly different opinion here, you have a good point but I think there’s another facet also to it.
After the MAT Results are announced, you then have to go through the MAT Counselling Process. In this you need to first register yourself to be qualified to sit for the counselling. While doing so, you also need to mention the colleges name that you are interested in to get an admission. Make sure to choose the colleges wisely, as the selected colleges would be like your source of education for the next few years.
You should know that the PI and GD for the selected colleges are held separately. Hence, you should prepare for each of them properly and also give your 100% for all of them. Mentioned below are few names of the AIMA MAT 2016 Participating Colleges:
