NMAT is conducted for getting admission into Narsee Monjee, XIMB and 18 other institutes and universities across the country. NMAT Results for the candidates who took the test between October 7- October 21, 2016 have been declared. Candidates who took the NMAT test during this period can check their result on official website or by visiting www.nmat.org.in. Due to heavy traffic at NMAT website, some candidates are facing difficulty in checking their result.
If a candidate is not satisfied with his NMAT result, he can take the test for two more times. These attempts can be utilized to improve the score. The minimum number of days after which a test can be taken again is 15 days. Candidates have to again book their slots for retest.
Candidates can schedule their test anytime during the retake scheduling window. Candidates appearing in NMAT can choose to select the list of programs they want to send their scores to before or after taking the exam. Seven programs are offered in the registration fee.
Candidates can apply for various programs like Master in Business Administration(MBA), Master of Accountancy, Master of Finance etc. if they are able to score the minimum required marks.

The result is declared 4-5 weeks after taking the NMAT. Candidates can decide after reviewing the result whether they want to apply for admission to colleges or take the test again to improve their score.

If candidates want to apply for the retest, then they will have to pay the registration fee of INR 1700 online before scheduling the test. Candidates are required to visit respective university/college website for their admission details. Candidates are required to submit their forms separately.

Once the NMAT 2017 Result is out, candidates have to go through a three-step procedure to get admission. These three steps are NMAT entrance exam, case discussion and personal interview.
Candidates can retake the test twice, so candidates can give three attempts in an admission cycle. Further attempts can be given after 15 days of taking the first test. NMAT 2016 was conducted at 32 centres across 23 cities.

NMAT entrance exam is a computer based test. Maximum time allotted to complete the NMAT is 2 hours. Candidates have the flexibility to select the sequence of the test. NMAT is divided into three sections namely- language skills, quantitative skills and logical reasoning. Candidates have to answer 120 questions in 120 minutes. 1 mark is awarded for every correct answer and there is no negative marking for wrong answer.
Candidates must have bachelor’s degree from any recognized university in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in their first attempt. Candidates who are in the final year of qualifying examination are also eligible.
