BITSAT Exam Pattern 2019

BITSAT Exam Pattern 2019 will be decided by BITS Pilani, the exam conducting authority for BITSAT. It will be conducted in May, 2019. BITSAT 2019 is a 3-hour online, computer-based exam divided into 4 sections for maximum marks of 450.

This national level engineering entrance exam provides admissions to Integrated First Degree Programmes of Engineering at all the three campuses of BITS - Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. Know more about the BITSAT Exam Pattern 2019 here.

BITSAT 2019 Exam Pattern in Detail

BITSAT 2019 will be held in online mode tentatively in May, 2019. The question paper will have a total of 150 questions from four sections, time allotted for which is 3 hours.

However, if some candidates complete all 150 questions in stipulated time, he/she will get the opportunity to get extra 12 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

  • All questions will be objective type and candidates have to choose 1 correct answer out of the 4 answer options available.
  • 3 marks will be awarded for every correct answer while for each incorrect response, 1 mark will be deducted.
  • For questions that are not attempted, no marks will be given.
  • The total time duration for the exam is 3 hours and there is no time limit to attempt any section.
  • If candidates are able to answer all 150 questions within the given 3 hours, they can attempt an additional 12 questions (four each from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry only).
  • This could be only possible if they have skipped any question from the 150 questions. Moreover, they will not be able to make any changes in the 150 questions they have attempted earlier.

BITSAT Syllabus 2019

BITSAT Syllabus 2019 is generally based on NCERT syllabus for 11th and 12th class of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. While English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning do not have any specific syllabus and thus will be based on aptitude.
