OJEE 2019 Exam Pattern

OJEE 2019 or Orissa Joint Entrance Examination 2019 is an offline exam conducted for admissions to various undergraduate, Lateral Entry, and Post Graduate courses into various participating institutes. It is organized by the Odisha Joint Entrance Board. OJEE 2019 is conducted every year in the month of May.

OJEE 2019 comprises 3 sessions wherein each session consists of different tests bearing different subjects and patterns. Candidates must carefully check the sessions that have the subjects necessary for admission in to their particular course.

OJEEE 2019 1st session is a 2-hour examination conducted in the morning (9 a.m. to 11.00 a.m.) comprising 120 multiple choice questions. The medium of the examination is English. The 2nd session is a 1-hour examination conducted in the afternoon (12 p.m. to 1 p.m.). It comprises 60-90 questions, based on the course/subject candidates are appearing for. The medium of the questions is English.

The 3rd session is conducted in the afternoon and is divided into 2 slots. Candidates must appear for the appropriate slot that has their particular course related subjects. The marking scheme of OJEE 2019 is common for all the sessions. Every right answer is awarded with 4 marks and 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. OJEE 2019 Exam Pattern in Detail

OJEE is conducted in 3 sessions with each session consisting of different tests for different subjects. Here is the detailed exam pattern for all the three sessions.

OJEE 2019 Exam Pattern Session 1

  • OJEE Session 1 is held between 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. at the allotted exam center
  • The question paper consists of 120 objective type questions and is held in offline mode.
  • This session conducts paper for Physics and Chemistry (for B.Pharm/BHMS/BAMS) MBA Program and LE Diploma Courses
  • Candidates get 2 hours in total to complete the paper.
  • Maximum marks that a candidate can score are 480.

OJEE 2019 Exam Pattern Session 2

  • Session 2 for OJEE is held between 12.00 p.m. to 01.00 p.m.
  • Questions paper consists of 60-90 questions depending upon your course and subject
  • Session 2 is conducted for courses including Mathematics (for B.Pharm/BHMS/BAMS) LE B.Sc Engineering (+3 Sc.) LE B.Pharm Integrated MBA (5 years) M.Pharm M.Plan to be offered.
  • The exam is conducted in offline mode with English as the medium.
  • Candidates have to answer the paper in 1 hour.

OJEE 2019 Exam Pattern Session 3

Slot 1

  • Session 3 of OJEE is held in 2 slots depending upon the course of the candidate.
  • Slot 1 of session 3 is a 1 hour paper held between 02.30 p.m. to 03.30 p.m.
  • Slot 1 offers Biology for B.Pharm/BHMS/BAMS.
  • There are total 60 questions and the paper is conducted in an offline mode.

OJEE 2019 Marking Scheme

It is true that OJEE Exam Pattern changes with the change in session and slot but in the case of marking scheme the papers remain similar throughout.

Marking scheme for OJEE (All Sessions) are given below-

  • OJEE Papers consists of 60-120 questions depending upon the required course.
  • Each question is awarded 4 marks for every right answer.
  • There is a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect or any question left un-attempted.

OJEE 2019 Important Instructions

There are certain guidelines laid down by Odisha Joint Entrance Board that must be followed by candidates. These have been mentioned below.

  • Candidates are advised to check the question booklet thoroughly.
  • In case of any defect, misprint, missing question(s), missing page, blank page, damaged or defected page or duplication of questions, get the booklet changed of the same series from the room invigilator.
  • Don’t forget to write your roll number and OMR sheet number on the question booklet.
  • Candidates are not allowed to carry any papers, books, calculators, cell phones, scanning devices, pagers, etc. to the exam center.
  • Any candidates found using, or in possession of any unauthorized material will be debarred from giving the examination.
  • Please mark the right responses in the OMR sheet with only a BLUE/BLACK ball point pen.
  • Use whitener (fluid) for correction, cutting on an OMR sheet is not allowed.
  • Candidates are provided with carbonless OMR answer sheet having original copy and candidates copy.
  • After the exam gets over, candidates are advised to fold at perforation on the top of the sheet, tear it and take it with them handing the original copy to the invigilator.
