Second OJEE 2018 (July)- Check exam dates, how to apply and syllabus

    The Orissa State Government has decided to conduct OJEE  twice a year starting from 2018. In an official notification the conducting authority has mentioned that the application form for Second OJEE 2018 will be available from June 25, 2018 (onward). The exam is scheduled for July 25, 2018 (10 am to 11 am)

    The second OJEE or Orissa Joint Entrance Examination will be conducted for admission into first year B.Tech, lateral entry, MBA and MCA seats falling vacant in private technical institutions. 

    Candidates who have already received rank in JEE Main 2018 for BTech or OJEE 2018 for lateral entry to BTech or MBA or MCA are not required to appear the second or special OJEE.

    This initiative has been taken place to reduce the number seats remaining vacant in private colleges participating in OJEE. In academic year 2018-17, Only 13,000 seats were filled out of 40,000.

    The second OJEE will be held for candidates who failed to appear for JEE Main 2018 and are willing to participate in OJEE B.Tech Admission 2018.

    • The official notification for special OJEE 2018 has been released on the official website
    • The exam will be conducted in all the districts of Orissa
    • Candidates who already appeared for JEE Main can also apply for OJEE 2018
    • The exam pattern and syllabus will be similar to first OJEE 2018 exam
    • Questions will be framed from class 11 and class 12 syllabus

    Second OJEE 2018 Important Dates

    The official dates have been released on the official website. Second or Special OJEE 2018 will be held on July 25, 2018 in offline mode. Candidates can check the complete schedule from the table mentioned below:-

    How to register for Second/ Special OJEE 2018?

    Special OJEE 2018 Application Form will be released on June 25, 2018. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online on the official website i.e. odishjee.com. The entire application process will be done through online mode only including the payment of fees.

    • Visit the official website- odishajee.com
    • Click on “online application form” link
    • Enter the asked details
    • Upload the required documents
    • Remit the application fee
    • Click on Submit button
    • Print the submitted application form

    Second OJEE 2018 Expected Exam Pattern

    Although no separate notification has been released regarding the expected exam pattern for second OJEE. However, it is expected that it will be set on same guidelines of first OJEE. 

    • The exam will be conducted in offline mode
    • Exam duration will be of 1 hour
    • Questions will be objective
    • Medium of examination will be English

    Second OJEE 2018 Result Declaration

    Similar to First OJEE 2018, The result for Second OJEE 2018 will be declared online on the official website on July 25, 2018. Candidates can check their result by following the below mentioned steps:-

    • Visit official website
    • Click on the result link
    • Enter registration number and password
    • Click on submit button

    Second OJEE 2018 Counselling Process

    Step for OJEE 2018 Counselling Process: OJEE 2018 Counselling has the following 7 steps. The detail description for each step is given below.

    Step 1 – Registration:

    • Open the OJEE 2018 website www.ojee.nic.in
    • Click on “New Registration”
    • Click on the “I Agree” Option for further Processing
    • Now register yourself by selecting the appropriate course and
    • Enter your OJEE 2018 Roll Number, Registration number and Date of Birth.
    • Click on “Submit” button

    Step 2 – Enter Personal Details:

    In this screen all the data provided by the candidate during submission of application will be displayed and some new fields will be asked to be filled in by the candidate.

    • Enter your Personal Address, Mobile Number etc.
    • Give your Bank Details
    • Now enter your Password and again re-enter the same Password in the confirm password box
    • Password must be 8 to 13 characters length
    • It must have at least One capital letter, One small latter, and one digit (A-Z, a-z and 0-9) and
    • It must also have one special character (!,@,#,$,%,^,&,*)

    Candidates must remember this password. This password shall be used in future for choice filling and viewing OJEE 2018 Result Details etc.

    Step 3 – Verify the Registration Details:

    In this step verify the details of registration. If you found some incorrect data then

    • Click on edit registration and edit the incorrect data and make it correct
    • If all the information is correct then click on confirm registration box to complete the registration process
    • In the next screen, click on Print Details Button and get the printout of the Registration Slip

    Note: Produce this registration slip at the Nodal Centre during document verification.

    Step 4 – Choice Filling:

    After successful registration, candidates click on Fill Choice button given in the MENU bar of the screen. Next a screen will open with some instructions. Candidates read these instructions and click on proceed to the next screen for choice filling.

    • There will be two blocks (left block and right block) in the next screen
    • The Left block contains list of all colleges and branches in alphabetical order
    • In the Left block the colleges can be listed according to Government/ Private or All
    • In the Right block, candidates fill the choices
    • You may also add your choices of colleges and branches from the left block by two methods1- Multiple addition using ADD MULTIPLE BUTTON and 2- Addition of one by one using ADD button
    • Candidates may give as many as choices
    • You may use the SWAP and MOVE options to change the priority of already filled in choices
    • You may select as many choices of Institutions and branches as possible on priority basis to get better option for allotment of a seat in the process
    • During choice filling process, save the choices in regular intervals using SAVE & CONTINUE button
    • After completing the choice filling, click on save button to save and take a print out of Filled in Choice Slip for your reference

    Candidates should arrange the filled in choices in order of their preferences of colleges and branchOne college with one branch will be treated as one choiceFor Ex- College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Electrical branch should be treated as one choice. Similarly, College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Mechanical branch should be treated as another choice and so on.
