AILET 2019 Application Form

National Law University, Delhi is expected to release AILET 2019 Application Form in the first week of January 2019. Candidates have a three month window period to apply for the exam in the online mode. The payment can be made for the application form both online or offline.

Students in the final year of the exam or those who have completed undergraduate degree with minimum 50% marks are eligible to apply for this exam. The application process consists of three components: registration, uploading images and payment of application fee. The application fee for general category students is INR 3050 and for SC/ST/PwD is INR 1050. 

Candidates who have registered successfully for AILET Exam can download the AILET 2019 Admit Card from April 2019. Note that there is no provision for editing the application form. This article explores all the details regarding the AILET 2019 Application Form and its process.

AILET 2019 Application Form will be available from January 2019. Candidates must apply well in advance to avoid any errors or last minute rush. The timeline for the AILET application process is as follows:

How to Fill AILET 2019 Application Form?

In order to apply for AILET 2019, candidates need to keep some important details and documents that are as follows:

  • Valid email address
  • Valid mobile number
  • Scanned copy of passport size photo
  • Credit card/debit card

Steps to Apply Online for AILET 2019 Exam

Step 1: Registration

  1. Visit the official NLU, Delhi website, i.e.
  2. Click on ‘Apply Online’.
  3. Fill in basic details: candidate’s email address, name, date of birth, address, gender and mobile number.
  4. After filling out the AILET 2019 Application Form, click on ‘Registration’.
  5. Next, candidate will be redirected to the Application Locker page where details need to be confirmed.

Step 2: Fill up AILET 2019 Application Form

  1. Select the college from the list of NLUs and click on ‘Click here to Apply’.
  2. Select the course aspirant wants to apply for from the drop down menu.
  3. Click on ‘Apply Now’.
  4. Next, candidates will be redirected to online AILET 2019 application form and fill it up.

Step 3: Uploading Images

  1. Scan and upload the passport size photo. The size of the photo should not exceed 150 Kb. The face of the candidate should cover 75% of the photograph.
  2. The photo can be in jpg., bmp. and gif. format.
  3. Click on ‘Save’ and proceed to the payment option.

Step 4: AILET 2019 Application Fee Payment

  1. There are two accepted modes of payment for AILET 2019: offline and online.
  2. For offline payments, applicants have to pay the fees at the Post Office.
  3. For online payments, applicants can pay the fee using credit card, debit card or net banking.
  4. Once the payment is made, a conformation email will be sent to candidate’s registered email address.
  5. To be on the safe side, candidates should download the acknowledgement email.

AILET 2019 Application Form Fee Payment

The AILET 2019 application fee can be paid using an online or offline mode. If the candidate fails to pay the fee then the candidate will be disqualified from the exam. The application fee category wise is as follows:

Modes of Payment

Option 1: Cash Deposit at Post Office

Candidates can choose to pay the AILET 2019 application form fee at any post office across the country. The procedure to remit the cash deposit at the post office is as follows:

  1. First, select Cash Deposit option at the Post Office. Click on ‘Proceed’.
  2. Choose City and Branch of the bank. Two identical deposit slips at the Post Office.
  3. Take a print out of the deposit slip and remit the fee along with the slips at the Post Office.
  4. Submit the application fee, one deposit slip will be kept for post office records and the other with the candidate.  

Option 2: Online Application Fee Payment

  1. First, select online Payment Gateway option.
  2. Choose the preferred online payment option: credit card, debit card or net banking.
  3. While making credit or debit card payments, candidates have to enter card number, CVV number, expiry date and pin number.
  4. Candidates who select the net baking option then they will be directed to the bank’s website. Enter the account details are confirmed and payment is accepted.
  5. When the payment is complete, the candidate will receive an acknowledgement slip on the registered email address. Take a copy of the print out of the acknowledgement slip and keep it.
  6. In case, candidates do not receive an acknowledgement slip within 3 days of payment then contact the admission desk by calling 0120 - 4160880,0120 -4160881 or write an email to   

AILET Application Form Instructions

The instructions to fill up the AILET 2019 Application Form are as follows:

  1. AILET 2019 Application forms will be available only in the online mode.
  2. Candidates are required to generate a registration number or registration id and password in order to fill up the application form.
  3. Candidates failing to meet the eligibility standards of NLU, Delhi will be disqualified and cannot take the exam.
  4.  Application forms will be accepted only on the receipt of successful payment.
  5. Check the form and make changes before submitting it.
  6. Ensure that the AILET 2019 Application Form is filled before the deadline to avoid any last minute hassles.

Ques. Can you edit the AILET 2019 Application Form post submission?

Ans. No, there is no provision to edit the AILET 2019 Application Form post submission. Candidates should fill up the form carefully. Check the form before submitting it.

Ques. Can I get the AILET 2019 Application Form in the offline mode?

Ans. No, the application form is only available online and the form is not available offline.

Ques. I am yet to complete class XII. Am I eligible to apply for BA. LL.B (Hons.) course?

Ans. Yes, candidates appearing for the class XII exam can apply for the BA. LL.B (Hons.).

Ques. How can I retrieve the Registration Number for AILET 2019?

Ans. Candidates who have forgotten login credentials can reset the password. The steps to reset the password are as follows:

  • Visit the official website
  • Go to the login page
  • Click ‘Forgot Password’
  • Password regeneration page will appear
  • Reset password using OTP method or answering the security question
  • Enter the details and click ‘Submit’
  • Reset your password and login with a new password
  • Ensure that you write down the new password

Ques. I am unable to access my AILET 2019 Application Form. Can you send the application form via post or online?

Ans. No, there is no provision for the application to be sent to candidates via email or post. In case there is a specific problem then send across an email to NLU, Delhi.

Ques. What is the admission process for International students?

Ans. Five seats are allotted to International (foreign) students possessing citizenship from another country. International students need not take AILET 2019 exam. However, in case of vacant seats in the international category will be allocated to the general category candidates as per the merit list.

Ques. Are there any reserved seats in AILET 2019?

Ans. Yes, there are reserved seats in AILET 2019. 15% of the seats are reserved for SC candidates, 7.5% of the seats are reserved for ST candidates and 3% of the seats are reserved for PwD. One seat is reserved for Kashmiri migrants. Ten seats are reserved for international students.
