NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
NATA is a national level entrance test conducted by the CoA (Council of Architecture) for admission to 5-year B.Arch course. .The NATA registration begins from January 2017.The NATA 2017 is scheduled on April 16, 2017. Some of the important changes have been notified by the CoA, New Delhi, to be implemented in NATA Exam.These changes are to implement from January 2017.

CoA, conducting body of NATA, has decided to make a few changes in the NATA 2017. The changes are as follows:
Change 1: The lower age limit for appearing in NATA-2017 has been waived. However, the candidate has to comply with any age constraints that may be specified by respective Counselling/ Admission Authority.
Change 2: Exam Window- Initially the exam window for NATA was for 5 months but now the exams (Paper 1 & Paper 2) will be held on a single day i.e. on April 16, 2017.
Change 3: Exam Mode- Earlier NATA Paper 2 i.e. Aesthetic Sensitivity Test was conducted in an Online mode (Computer Based Test). But, NATA 2017 will be conducted in anOffline mode (pen- paper based). Know More About Aesthetic Sensitivity Test
Change 4: Exam Retakes- Candidates can take NATA only 5 times within 2 consecutive years starting from April 1, 2017. Check NATA 2017 Marking Scheme.
Change 5: Best of Five Attempts- Out of all the attempts, the best score out of 5 will be considered as valid.
Change 6: NATA Scorecard validity- The NATA score card is valid for 2 years. Know How Scores are calculated in NATA
Change 7: Candidates who have appeared in the NATA exam before 2017 will also be allowed to attempt the NATA exam 5 times in upcoming examinations. The “Best of Five” rule is also applicable. The issued mark list will include the best score out of the 5 attempts. However, the candidate’s previous score will also be taken into consideration for calculating the highest score obtained among the maximum 5 attempts. The score of such candidates will be valid for 2 years from the date of the first attempt in 2017.
Change 8: If the candidate wishes to appear in NATA again, it is mandatory for him/her to submit the details about the previous examination as per the requirement of the application form.
Change 9: If any discrepancy is found in the details provided by the candidate /if the candidate has registered himself more than 1 time, the candidature of such candidates shall stand forfeit for NATA 2017. Such candidates will be barred from appearing for NATA again and all their previous scores will also be considered as cancelled.
Change 10: The candidate has to fill up and submit the new online application for every new attempt. Additionally, they have to remit an amount of Rs 1250/- every time as application fee.
