NATA 2017 is scheduled for April 16, 2017. Candidates appearing for NATA 2017 have not much time left for preparation as only five days are remaining for exam. Here we have compiled some last minute preparation tips to help in a quick preparation for NATA 2017.
NATA is considered as one of the toughest exams in India for admission to reputed institutes offering architecture programs across India. To successfully qualify the exam, candidates are required to practice enough for scoring well. NATA 2017 consists of three sections in two papers. A paper- wise breakup of the test’s components is given below.
NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) is a national level aptitude test conducted by COA (Council of Architecture). The exam is conducted for admission in B.Arch Courses offered by the top Universities across India. This year, the mode of exam is offline for both the papers. NATA 2017 exam is divided into two papers – Paper I, Paper II. The exam pattern of both papers are different.
NATA 2017 exam will be conducted on April 16, 2017. Applicants are required to go through the NATA Exam Pattern. The exam is divided into two papers – paper I, paper II. Both papers are totally different from each other, the detail information of paper I and paper II is mentioned below:
Paper I – Paper I will consist of General Aptitude and Mathematics. The exam is held in offline (pen and paper based) mode. The question paper will consist of 60 questions. Each subject carries 30 questions. All the questions will be in MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) format. Candidates must complete their exam in the duration of 90 minutes. Two marks will be awarded for every correct answer. There is no negative marking in exam.
Paper II – Paper II will be based on Drawing and Sketching. This paper will test candidate’s ability of drawing or sketching. Candidates have to draw a diagram asked in 3D/ 2D and theme sketch where the visualization, symmetry and sketching ability will be tested. NATA paper II is also held in offline mode. The question paper will consists of 2 questions only. Each question carries 40 marks. It is mandatory for all candidates to attempt all the NATA Drawing Questions in 90 minutes.

This is one of the most important topic of NATA 2017 exam. This subject will carry 50 percent weightage of questions in the exam. The question paper will carry 30 questions from general aptitude section. The level of this section is moderate but this is not time consuming section. The questions of this section will be based on current affairs and general knowledge.
Mathematics is considered as one of the tough subject. This section will carry 50 percent weightage in exam. The question paper will consist 30 questions from this subject. Mathematics is the study of topics such as quantity, structure, space, and change. The questions will be based on formulas and graphs. The level of this topic is tough.
This section will carry only 2 questions. Each question carries 40 marks. It’s compulsory to attempt both questions in 90 minutes. On this stage of time candidates are required to focus on revision. Don’t try to learn new things.
