NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) is conducted every year by National Institute of Advanced studies in Architecture, New Delhi. NATA is a well-recognized entrance exam; many state level universities consider its score for the admittance of the candidates in the architecture department.
National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture has announced the date of NATA 2017 for offline mode (pen-paper test) i.e. on April 16, 2017.
The Exam Pattern for NATA 2017 has been changed. Now, the NATA Exam (Paper 1 & Paper 2) will be conducted in an offline mode and on the same day i.e. April 16, 2017.
NATA is conducted in two parts i.e. Paper 1- is Drawing Test and Paper 2- is General Aptitude & Mathematics Test. Drawing test and General Aptitude & Mathematics Test are pen-paper test.
Candidates will be asked 3 question in the drawing test and will get the time span of 2 hours. The General Aptitude & Mathematics Test has 60 multiple choice objective type questions in total and it has to be completed in 90 minutes. The over-all test including both papers is of 200 marks and of 3 hours’ time duration. There is no negative marking in this examination.
Paper 1:- NATA Drawing Exam
The candidates have to draw or sketch a diagram asked in 3D/ 2D and theme sketch where the visualization, symmetry and sketching ability will be tested.
Paper 2:- General Aptitude & Mathematics Test
It will be conducted in a offline mode (pen- paper based). It will involve checking the perception, imagination & observation, creativity and communication along with architectural awareness of the candidate. The answer once submitted cannot be changed later.

Note: It is mandatory for a candidate to attempt all the NATA Drawing Questions.
The syllabus of both papers is different and limited. Candidates are instructed to put equal efforts while preparing for both the papers.
The Paper 1 i.e. the NATA Drawing section has 2 questions in total and these questions are designed to test the understanding of scale and proportion, sense of perspective drawing, sketching ability, etc.
The Paper 2 i.e. the General Aptitude & Mathematics Test has 60 objective questions in total and has questions based on Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Architectural Aptitude, Imaginative comprehension, expression and Mathematics.
