STATE LEVEL OFFLINE TEST

WBJEEB or West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board will conduct WBJEE in May 2019. It is an offline exam comprising 155 objective type questions. WBJEE 2019 consists of 2 papers, Paper I- Mathematics and Paper II- Physics and Chemistry. Each paper is divided into three parts namely Category I, Category II and Category III.

The total duration of the exam is 4 hours and marking scheme for each category is different which has been mentioned in detail in the article further along with the syllabus and recommended books. WBJEE Syllabus will be based on class 12th physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.

All candidates who clear **WBJEE 2019** will be able to seek admission in any one of the participating institutes of WBJEE. These institutes offer undergraduate courses in engineering, pharmacy and architecture. Nearly 1.5 lakh candidates are expected to appear for WBJEE 2019.

WBJEE 2019 exam will be conducted in 2 slots for both the papers. The exam will be of total 200 marks with questions from three subjects namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.Paper 1, i.e. Mathematics and Paper 2, i.e. Physics and Chemistry both will be of 2 hours each. The exam will be held in the offline mode through OMR sheet.

The question paper will consist of 155 multiple choice questions. There are 3 categories of questions in each paper. The category-wise details are given in the table below.

There are 2 categories in **WBJEE 2019** and each exam will consist of questions from each of the three subjects, i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The Marking Scheme for each category is different. Check the following details to know about WBJEE marking scheme.

**Category I**

- For every correct answer: +1 marks
- For every wrong answer: -0.25 marks

**Category II**

- For every correct answer: +2 marks
- For every wrong answer: -0.25 marks

**Category III**

- For every correct answer: +2 marks
- For every wrong answer: 0 marks
