JEE MAIN 2019 NEWS
NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE/OFFLINE TEST
Aditya Singh appeared for JEE Main in 2014. He scored 135 marks in JEE Main in 2014 and took admission in UIET. He was also offered admission from Punjab University, Chandigarh. In this interview, he shares with us his experience in the preparation process of JEE Mains.
Ans. I was offered admission from other colleges but I took admission in UIET.
Ans. Panjab University, Chandigarh
Ans. Offline mode
Pros and Cons
1) It is quite simple as usually we have practice on pen and paper based
2) we can view all the questions and attempt them without wasting time ( lot of time is spent in online exam while clicking for next questions)
3) Got proper feel of giving the examination
4) No chance of technical error as the examination is fully pen and paper based
5) The one thing is bad if however you selected the wrong option you don't have the choice to correct it
6) The options filled by in last 15 because it needs to carefully fill the choices in the OMR sheet
7) OMR sheet is not replaceable

Ans. No Coaching classes have been taken by me. I studied myself for the JEE MAINS and boards too.
According to me in JEE Mains, there is no role of coaching as much. I studied on my own and after attempting JEE Main exam I found the most of the syllabus came from the 11th and 12th syllabus. I studied with the alternate book in 11th and 12th which help a lot.
Ans. I started my JEE preparation from the beginning of class 11th and mainly focused on JEE in 11th as the burden of boards is not there.
After coming to 12th I concentrated on my boards but JEE preparation is the main motive till December and the momentum breaks during half yearly exams of school. I studied 14-18 hours a day, and sometimes it get maximize. I used to solve evergreen sample papers for my boards for Math, Physics, chemistry and English which helped me for boards and help me in revising the concepts of JEE and also help me to boost the score of boards. My focus was on the syllabus of 12th including the area of JEE mains using reference of study materials provided by resonance
Ans. Strong area
Continuity and differentiability
Algebra and system of equations in one and two variables
Permutation and combination
Chemistry in everyday life
Alternating and direct current
Ans. I participated in the test series organized by Akash institute which helps a great as this helps me for getting attention on my weak areas and give an idea how questions can come with the related topic. Due to which I improved a lot in physics. Test series also helps to maintain and enable me to solve the paper with the speed as well as with accuracy. One of the benefits of test series is, it provides us the AIR i.e. the all India rank among the candidates attempted the paper.
Ans. For Physics I used HE Verma and DC Pandey for mechanics and light and optics. HC Verma is best for the rotational motion and the impulse and momentum.
NCERT, HC Verma, and CD Pandey are the books sufficient for the study of JEE. No further books are required. Questions written after the chapter is very important to solve because the question in JEE comes as it is from the book. The mechanics portion and rotational mechanics are very important , questions definitely come from this section too and one's rank is decided by these topics as they hold the maximum weight in JEE examination.
Read More JEE MAIN 2017 Important Books
Ans. RC Mukherjee for inorganic chemistry is a very good book, it helps a lot for attempting the numerical problems involving the chapters and topics with inorganic chemistry. NCERT is best for JEE mains for theory and properties of chapters like s-block, p-block, and d-f block
Dr. O P Tondon is very good book for deep knowledge involving reactions for inorganic and organic chemistry.
Chemistry questions are not tuff in JEE if the basic concepts are properly cleared. Thermodynamics and equilibrium questions are very important they always comes in the question Paper. The practice of these questions is very important and they will solve only when one has the good approach of solving the questions.
Ans. I used RD Sharma and it made a great effect on the paper as I didn't study much in Math a type of overconfidence when I attempted the test series I found my marks are getting deducted from Math, so I started studying from RD Sharma within 2 months I covered most of the syllabus as my concept were clear I just have to take quick revision.
NCERT is not recommended for the JEE examination. As NCERT is not sufficient to solve the tricky questions of JEE main
Ans. If I could go back in time I would brush up and practice the questions based on mathematics and physics. Physics and mathematics questions are very tricky to solve no guess can be made to tick and the select the correct one. So proper knowledge with lot of practice is necessary for scoring 185+
Ans. If someone is starting preparation before 4 months is quite difficult to crack because the concepts regarding the topic should be clear properly. If someone has cleared his basic concepts and have a good capturing power will do a great in the exam.
But the person will have to study hard then only he/she can score well in JEE. The time is sufficient if you do and study thoroughly the selected syllabus in which the maximum papers comes in physics, chemistry and Mathematics.
